Check out this Absolute Unit I made

It's strawberry cake - the cake is from scratch, like I boiled down a bunch of strawberries then pureed the reduction for the flavor. But the fondant is store bought cuz that shit is a MASSIVE pain in the ass to make from scratch. And the frosting is a weird 50/50 store/scratch cuz I ran out of the canned shit🤦‍♂️ like I'm not equipped to make frosting (no electric mixer) so I'm sitting there gently working in powdered sugar with a fork lmfao

Anyway it looks pretty ridiculous and the strawberries look like salami slices but um. I'm happy with it:p

Flashbacks to the tgs phase that 💫ended💫 and I'm glad it did. I'm pretty sure this had a huge influence on finding my artstyle, which is weird cause it couldn't be more different. These I think are from 2021, earlier part perhaps, idk. I remember being here before the 26th of June 2021, so maybe 2020 too, anyway I'm glad my now interest in this fandom is gone and interactions are limited, for reasons I will not be discussing.

Looking back, I was actually quite decent at replicating the style, shame. Tbh this was my art renaissance, I felt so inspired and I came home and drew everyday, for my silly hyperfixations, hence my massive amount of improvement recorded all on this blog if you scroll far enough through the endless void of reblogs. Now, being almost 16 and facing exams, it's all sort of died because I don't have the time to practice. I am still working on the Justine painting, which shouldn't be taking this long, but is.

These were pre-posted about a year, even more ago therefore were all edited then.

I don't know why I fixated on tgs Hyde, I honestly find him a bit boring, not to mention the constant romanticism and infantilisation- I'm going to stop before I get someone angry.

is anybody else going through a an Encanto phase where any sad song you listen to reminds you of Bruno or the Madrigal family and their family issues, or just a plain Encanto phase or is it just me. Cause just watching it once made me have a whole Encanto phase the second it was over

A small piece of advice from me to myself because I need to learn to accept this and I think someone else does too:

Life is fluid. It's made up of phases. The only constant in life is change.

So why should you stop yourself from completely embracing and submerging yourself into these phases? Why should you stop yourself from wholeheartedly experiencing this current phase for as long as it may last? Why not express yourself as honestly and meaningfully as you can while you still have the chance?

Growth comes from being comfortable with change and knowing that this will not last. Some things will stick for life, lessons will be learnt, but life will not be the same tomorrow.

Live for today for once.
