Imagine your OTP finds/makes a weight gain potion. Person A decides to test it, and takes a drink. Within seconds their body starts swell, their belly becoming round and soft, their thighs start straning against the fabric of their clothes, and their face becomes rounder. Eventually the swelling stops, and they've tripled in weight. And it takes a while for person B to make/find the antidote, that is if A wants to change back.
