I know I don’t have a job so the money I have from Christmas dinner should go to “important” things, but let me argue that this would indeed count as important real quick:

what I love about my French publisher is that I will get a notice from them about a royalty statement. and then weeks, maybe a month, maybe more, will go by, and then I will get sent money and I will be like, where did these Euros come from oh right.

Which doesn't feel shady to me in the Dreamspinner way. It more feels like a) more relaxed work environment b) publishing in general and c) they aren't stealing they just don't care about me personally.

Anyway I consider it more like bonus money than anything else. Found money. Surprise money.
