Something something the freedom motif being the most prevalent in jevil and spamton's themes, one of them literally locked away and thr other clawing to heaven in desperation to not be a puppet. And it being much fainter in Gerson and Pink's themes, Gerson having long made peace with his life and letting Susie give Alvin the resolution that hr wished he could have given him while Pink/Maddie finds true joy and happiness coexisting in a body that feels like HER. aaurghh

Actually I haven't stopped thinking about how much Stampede endeared me to Brad specifically. He went from nothingburger ""romantic"" rival in 98 who died and did nothing for me to guy i found okay and tolerable in Maximum, to like. Holy shit that's Vash's weird dad!!! I find his relationship with Vash in Stampede so!!!! Interesting. He hurt and dehumanized Vash. He was scared of him. He grew from that. THATS HIS KID!!! I wish they had more scenes but literally just from the one of him fixing Vash's arm there's such a sense of shared history. They've been through that song and dance. He taught that boy how to ride a thoma. Idk something about having *human* characters that are older than 150 year old Vash is so. Cool to me.

I keep losing my mind over NAPSTABLOOK being the least miserable ghost in that house such that they're the one that has to get a job. Like yeah theyre generally kind of a downer but theyre also not drowning in dysphoria like mtt and Maddie at the beginning of the game so they just kinda have to. Persevere.

So the first time i heard people talking about "blellow yaoi" I was v confused because I hadn't started chapter 5 yet. V confused as an SU fan who only knew blellow yuri. Anyways here's Blue and Yellow dressed as the diamonds lol

Thinking about DR asgore again and how despite his life being so different from UT asgore, hes still got those aspects that made him the beloved "king fluffybuns" and "King Asgore" who in his grief waged war on humans. It's also interesting to me the way people view him, how hes this dignified, grieving entity in UT who has genuinely lost everything but still needs to be a pillar for monsterkind to look up to. Meanwhile in DR, hes more pitiful. He can still see his ex wife. His kids are still around. But his life is fractured. He isn't an isolated king in a castle- his community doesn't need him to be their pillar of hope. They've quietly moved on from the tragedy that's been haunting his family. Idk man that really is. The guy who in an alternate universe keeps track of how many times hes killed a child and keeps doing it despite how heavily it weighs on his conscious

It's so wild thinking about toby fox and temmie chang going from making undertale off a Kickstarter budget in Andrew Hussie's basement and holding it together with code you definitely shouldn't look too closely at and a dream to having a proper team for deltarune and toby using his Nintendo money to hire the Evangelion movies studio (Khara, lmao) to do a silly little cutscene for his literal dream game. Insane progression there
