And above we have a rare photo of Claudine every time it looks like Maya is finally gonna open up to her and doesn’t.
@halbartic made this for me and honestly, it’s too funny for me to not share here.

“Ah, Mizuno-san!” With a wave and a grin, Claudine stepped over toward the other girl on the sidewalk. Today, after all, was the 100th Seisho Festival; even though most of the people heading to the Academy at this hour were students like herself, there were always a handful who tried to get there as early as they could. And who wouldn’t? The tickets assigned seating, but there were other things to enjoy at the festival before then too. “Are you here to see our performance?”
@katanatonic here’s a bonus Karen
“Banana.” Karen slumped over the couch in their shared common room, the one where she could see over the half wall and into the kitchen. Practice with Hikari-chan had been non-stop since way too early this morning and, however motivated she liked to think she was, skipping meals was never an option. Oh, she’d brought snacks and ate them, but! How could anyone practice like that and not be starving afterwards?
“I’m so hungry.”

Maya peeked into the kitchen, hoping the target of her inquiry would be there. And such was her luck that she was. A smile, perhaps a more genuine one than many of her smiles, slipped into place as she stepped inside. “Daiba-san. I was hoping you could assist me with something.”
She set a picture of a strawberry Charlotte cake down on the counter. “While I’m fairly certain of my skills when it comes to cooking, this particular dessert is a bit... more than my usual endeavors. The process seems simple enough, but I have yet to settle on a filling. Fruit and custard is the traditional one, to my understanding.” Nor had she purchase the cookies needed for the outer layer.

“Ah, Isurugi-san.” With a small wave and equally small smile, Maya approached the other girl. “Hoshimi-san said you were looking for this reference book.” Maya held out the book in question (one she didn’t exactly need but had taken out of the library to review her English pronunciation). “My apologies for not bringing it to you sooner.”
