“Goooood morning, Futaba-chan!” It was bright, and sunny, and Karen had absolutely no plans for their day off. So what better way to spend it than going for a walk? But she hadn’t expected to run into Futaba! “No Kaoruko-chan with you today? Are you doing something cool then?” After all, last time she’d done something without Kaoruko-chan, she’d gotten her motorcycle license! Which was really cool!

The only reason Claudine even glanced inside the practice was to see if Maya was the one using it. Because Saijou Claudine was not going to finish her practice time before Tendo Maya did. It wasn’t, thankfully; rather, a certain redhead seemed to be struggling with one of their routines, though she probably had a better grasp on it than it looked from out here. And sure, Claudine was looking forward to a bath, but this was Futaba. So she poked her head into the room.
“I guess it’s my turn to catch you practing late, Futaba.” She stepped inside with a grin. “I’ve got some time if you want someone to practice with.”

reading the texts karen had sent her during those long months was hard enough — could barely breathe knowing that her plan to PROTECT karen had so brilliantly failed . had only saved all the others from the despair of lost potential . thought giving herself up would save ALL of them . hadn’t known she’d left karen suffering because of it . knew the girl would be sad , but hadn’t thought she’d end up losing her purpose the same way hikari did when she lost in her first audition .
she thought looking at these would be easier — that maybe it wouldn’t hurt as much from someone she was surprised even really cared about her absence . but it wasn’t . not with that message that mentioned how worried EVERYONE was the week after the audition . that they all cared that she was gone . that futaba considered her a great classmate . && even above that , a great friend . hadn’t ever really considered that the others might have actually missed her . that maybe someone aside from karen would be at all affected by her absence . but maybe they were .
so though she knew she should say it directly to the other , she knew she didn’t have the strength . not emotionally , at least . so she’d swallow hard , try to take a deep breath as she typed out the message in the dark of her room , momentarily glad that karen && mahiru were already sleeping .

Korin couldn’t say she was surprised to find someone in the stage fighting practice room this late after classes ended, given that Seisho was a school of overachievers if nothing else, but she’d really hoped to find it empty. All she wanted was to take some pictures of the different practice weapons they had to them to the next production meeting, that’s it; maybe she’ll be lucky and the girl won’t being using one she needed a picture of.
A sigh. In and out, she was going to be in and out. “Excuse me.” As she stepped inside, Korin kept her eyes on the girl practicing. No one wanted to get hit by accident, herself included. Would she pause or keep going?
Wait, wasn’t that the upperclassman who drove a motorcycle to school every day?
She leans in and throws an arm around Claudine's shoulders, grinning something a little too big not to be suspicious. "Notre Claudine~" She totally didn't search up French and triple check several different websites to make sure she didn't use the wrong noun.
“Notre Claudine?” Oh, she was never going to escape this now, was she? Damn it all. Stupid Maya and her stupid Ma Claudine. “Notre Claudine!” She shoved Futaba’s arm off her shoulder and pivoted to face her, her hand already pointing threateningly. “What am I? A pet owned by the rest of the girls here?”
Later she might be impressed by Futaba’s obvious research into picking the correct possessive article to tease her with. Right now? Not so much. “Honestly! How many different ways do you all need to refer to one single person!?”
