Unsurprisingly, the drawbridge eventually fell to its natural state and once it did, Izara walked across the glorified plank of wood and into the manor. Knowing the place by heart at this point, she followed the sounds of other tributes up to the roof, before making her way to the dovecote.

Once she reaches her desired location, the victor sizes up the tributes currently participating before rushing up to the dovecote to see exactly what there was to take. Noticing the packs hanging from the wall, she cursed her injured shoulder. Pushing through the immense pain and thankful that she had a somewhat good idea of how to climb, Izara decided to take the risk and snag both the one labeled district two as well as district five. Because fuck the royal. Though the bird seemed to be a little asshole, she tugged on the secured packs while trying not to piss it off too much.

It took all Izara had in her not to scream and burn down the entire arena when she awoke to realize she could only see out of her natural eye. The bionic one had been turned off for whatever fucking reason and now she was forced to readjust her senses to make up for the lack of perception. Of course the Capitol and its spawn would resort to disabling a tribute who had a great chance of winning just to make things more interesting. Of fucking course.

Izara made herself another cup of the green tea, pretending as though she was shoving India’s head into the boiling water instead of leaves. She assumed it had something to do with the fact that she didn’t die overnight and felt marginally better in the morning. It hadn’t killed her yet and her body felt a bit more functional so she must be doing something right.

After drinking her cup of tea and cooking her second to last bird carcasses the same way as she had the night before, Izara checked on all her wounds and seeing as the bleeding had stopped and the flesh was beginning to knit itself back together mostly, she packed everything up into her backpack and swung it over her good shoulder. The other one still hurt like hell.

Nothing had happened up north since she arrived, and despite her state of pain still, the Victor craved the excitement of the Games and she sure as hell wasn’t getting any by sitting at a zipline tower. 

Wishing she had a quicker way to get south, Izara made her way slowly back to where she had come from the day before. As she neared the manor she realized that all the doors had been locked and there seemed to be no way to actually get inside. 

Assuming the Gamemakers had some shit planned for the day, Izara ended up on the left side of the manor. As she grew closer, the past victor noticed that the drawbridge was drawn up towards the builing. So she sat her ass down right where it would collapse and didn’t care who saw her. Still fucking getting used to having one functional eye.
