Pokemon: many many i think. Tyme, Aarune, GUILE HIDEOUT, Shauna, Anthea & Concordia, Saguaro, Zinnia, and for hated characters specifically: Geeta is awesome,also Ghetsis. For some propositions for why people should like them in order:
Incredibly sweet and trying despite specializing in a disliked subject, also her and her sister’s dynamic is under explored [tyme]/ He’s got a kind of funny concept that amuses me. also some what shocking he isn’t popular considering that he’s a eccentric white cowboy [aarune]/ archie’s very popular but his manga knight LARPing alter ego isn’t despite it arguably being the most or second most interesting iteration of him ever, he has lots of potential in dramatic hardenshipping storylines, team aqua betrayals, and also as a stand alone character. he’s not exactly written well considering it’s Kusaka but he has such potential and insane angst bait [Guile Hideout]/SHE’s CUTE AND NICE. She’s literally fun, she’s honestly really interesting but she was tragically underdeveloped so no one seed my #visions. but consider that equally underdeveloped characters get popularity [Shauna]/ They have such potential in a fic, they’ve been forced into a role of subservience all their lives and are honestly essentially N Harmonia but as two girls neglected by the narrative so i like them. i dont like N. lol. [Anthea & Concordia]/Everyone talks abt gay people in paldea then neglect saguaro like be serious. also he’s so sweet and cute towards the player. genuinely 10/10 character no notes. [Saguaro]/dare i say equally if not more narratively compelling than N and has a fully rounded character arc and symbolism and relevance and good design and is literally so awesome in every way. her motifs with grief are very well done. she’s a very charming character. so so good. [Zinnia]/ beautiful flawless design and a great personality, her team was bad But ☝️ so was lance’s so idgaf. everyone get geeta pilled [Geeta]/ He’s so well written and interesting and it is actually so annoying how people try to act like it’s a moral failing to like ghetsis in certain sects of the fandom. “hes an abusive father” have u considered that’s what makes him interesting 🤔 [Ghetsis]

reasonings: Marvel’s first Asian superhero who in his main series deconstructed an orientalist trope and reclaimed parts of the story also he is very charming and an amazing leader and so kind also he has good fashion and also very suave and secretive. [Jimmy Woo]/ SHE’s CUTEEE. She’s such a sweet “🥰😇” type character and very fun and i like her struggles with her history of being murdering ppl & also the fact that she’s a siren and how she tries to hide it. so funnnn. generally everyone read agents of atlas 2006 actually [Venus]/ okay i went insane over her once. she is an incredibly accomplished and intelligent scientist. who had a child at 17 years old with a man who abused said child. and then remarried to an even worse man than drank herself to death. she tried to shoot wolverine with a shotgun. in my feminist utopia she would haunt the narrative and get a spotlight. [Sarah Xavier]/ he’s some weird misanthropic bug man who sucks bad with 4 appearances what’s not to love about him [August Hopper]/ (forcibly detransitioned) TRANS WOMAN IN STEM THAT IS SOME WHAT UNETHICAL IN A TOXIC WORKPLACE. HAS AN EX WIFE AND KIDS. INLOVE WITH BRUCE BANNER. WHATS NOT TO LOVE ABOUT HER [Wanda Langkowski]/ im filipino so i do have bias her ejshdjdjdj but she also is genuinely Good rep of the philippines and is an interesting character even separate from that but for the rep part: the water is an integral part of filipino cultures and history, both pre and post colonial. instead of a white passing metro girl who’s entire selling point is her proximity to whiteness being heralded (very very common in fili media) it’s a brown girl from Cebu. all the appearances of her family and the country itself in the comics were also very realistic and relatable. much much more but i wont ramble too much.
