And perhaps 🤭 for Corazón and Rust?
hello!!! good morning!! my hobbies include laying down in the afternoon and falling asleep before finishing my prompts
this is a pairing i havent written before, so this was fun!!
Corazón woke up shivering, a slight breeze whistling through the planks of the Grateful Damnation. It had been ages since the last friendly port, so all of the repairs were what he could make do with at sea. He reached to pull the blanket up to his shoulders — his sweet, soft, and most importantly warm blanket stuffed with real owlbear down — but there was nothing. He turned over, and immediately felt an influx of emotions. There, in a very cosy looking cocoon, was their most recent stowaway, snoring in a regular rhythm and whistling on the exhale.
First, Corazón felt irritation. That was his blanket! And Rust had a whole pelt to keep him warm! Then, and he would never say this out loud, he did feel a slight fondness tugging at the strings of his heart. Rust really did look quite snug. It was not enough of a tug to prevent him from beginning to tug on the blankets himself, however.
“Hm, something wrong, mon ami?” Rust mumbled.
Corazón continued to pull, rotating his body so that he was facing away from Rust but taking the blanket with him. “I don’t see why you need this when you’re covered in your own blanket of fur,” he grumbled back.
“Oh? Is the human cold?” Rust crooned as he moved, but instead of trying to steal the blanket back for himself—
Corazón let out a shout of surprise as a pair of furry arms wrapped around his torso and pulled him in. “Sh-shut up! I’m not cold. I just like to be comfortable.” As he said this, his teeth chattered.
Rust didn’t say anything, instead he pulled Corazón closer and rested his head in the crook of his neck. Then there was a rumbling sensation against his back.
Rust still didn’t say anything, but Corazón felt himself relaxing anyway. From beyond the captain’s quarters, he could hear the clattering of Dob’s daily mischief. But perhaps that was a problem for Merilwen, he decided. He had a long day of captaining ahead, what was a few more minutes?
