damn, I feel down after Valko's cancellation, I was gonna give lad's a shot because the puppy was my exact type in a guy (muscular, fit, charming, playful etc 😭🙏) so having him not release is very disheartening to see, I might still try because Sylus, but yea very sad to see, and very sad that the creative team's hard work might never get a chance to be enjoyed :(

I'm done being delusional about there being extra stuff in this game, so now I'm moving onto being delusional that they will release a fandisk.

Since I'm insane, I thought I'd go the whole way. As such, here is a list of totally 100% likely things that will most definitely be included in the fandisk that will most certainly release. (please read this in the most Britishly dripping sarcasm you can)

Number 1. Sora.

You might have gathered, but I quite like the man. And since hamefura pirates is an alternative timeline anyway, who says he can't have been sold to some Quidian nobles instead of Sorcier ones? There could totally be a route where you end up on Quid early, and try to free all of Dirks experiments. But!! To your (and Catarina's) chagrin and confusion, there are some who don't seem to be immediately willing and receptive of the idea of being saved?

You meet Sora, who isn't exactly loyal to his "master", but isn't quite convinced that you are any more powerful (and therefore, capable of giving him a better life).

Long story short, Catarina convinces him that not only is the Quidian king capable and willing of pardoning/sheltering/providing for him as desired, but that it would also be to the benefit of all the children in Dirks basement (?? Is it a basement? It was under the forest floor right, that makes it a basement doesn't it?).

At first, Sora is skeptical, because why should he care about those guys? Besides, if things really started going south, he would just leave on his own. But then through the power of Catarina, he admits that yeah, it is kinda nice for someone to take care of you, and yeah sure he'll help her extend her hand to the others. (You really can't say no to such a blindingly pure smile, especially one backed by two very powerful monarchies).

He repeatedly tells her and himself that he can ditch at any time. This proceeds a tense scene where Catarina is held hostage in a bad situation, sees Sora's shadow moving in the corner of her eye, and thinks that he will leave. Just as she's on the verge of blacking out and thinking she can't blame him, she feels whatever is holding her fall away!! And what's this??? Something (or someone) else is holding her instead??

When she opens her eyes, she's being held bridal style in Sora's arms while he fights off Dirk and co. (Sorry, I just can't miss the opportunity to remind you all that Sora is canonically the strongest by a long shot)

Through the use of his impressive wit, copious physical ability, and meager magical ability, he then brings her to safety!! (while heavily injured himself) What a knight in shining armour!!!

Then theres a CG of him blushing and possibly shirtless as Catarina tends to his wounds.

If you don't have enough hearts, he can just leave you to die. DOOM END: At least Sora made it out...

Personally I think this route should have at least 40 CGs. Half should be Sora holding Catarina in some way, and the rest should be him fighting and/or being beat up. (Ln 9 I pray you will be animated every day).

The game itself should come with at least five posters, all of his CGs. And an audio drama that's just him. (Hey, I said I was being delusional here.)

The happy end should also be 2 full chapters rather than just one scene.

Number 2: Frederick

This one is a classic case of Catarina being Catarina.

Perhaps on an earlier day Catarina gets sick or something, causing the gang to be extra protective of her. But they still need to go to the ball for politics reasons, so they tell her to stay in the room and not to leave under any circumstances. Catarina of course, gets hungry. So she leaves. But!! She has the foresight not to be caught. Her plan? Dress as a man. That way, even if they spot her, they won't recognise her! So they can't get mad!! It's flawless.

Cue her hiding in the corner of the ballroom in some of her casual shirts and Keith's extra clothing, absolutely stuffing her face.

Frederick, avoiding the women in attendance, ends up standing nearby and eyeing the room with a glare. Catarina thinks this must be a Hangry look, and so offers him some food.

Frederick, having eyes, can clearly see through Catarina's poor disguise. However, Catarina being Catarina, does not set of his !!!Woman alert!!! Danger!!! senses, because she is so unladylike (in this context). He eyes her, with a glare, and doesn't say anything.

Catarina is not deterred. She essentially starts shoving food at him, saying these ones are so good, these ones are so nutritious etc etc, and in her rambling ends up saying something along the lines of "you should take care of your body". This line causes a lot of internal conflict in our (soon to be) dear Freddie. Because, a woman? Wanting good things for him? Seemingly saying such things with genuine intention? It goes to absolutely against his prior experience.

Of course, this alone is not enough to melt his heart. It is in fact, only the first decision the player makes towards his route, and happens in the ballroom scene before the pirates attack.

The rest of the route follows in similar fashion:

The pirates separate her from others, at some point she is walking the corridors (idk the reason) and sees Frederick (again, idk if he's running or on the floor passed out or being taken in another direction by the pirates) and bleeding from the arm.

Her reaction is of course to run to him and ask if he's ok, then bluster about with her minimal first aid knowledge.

At some point they meet up with the other girls (just the girls, very important) and while Frederick tries to back away Maria earnestly asks if he's alright and tries to heal him. This is mainly for him to learn that #not all women. Catarina of course has a few lines about how kind she is, and how (while she can totally understand him hating her on account of her villainous face,) he should at least make an exception for Maria.

He is throughout the start, suspicious of her intentions Upon realising she has none, he is then confused. Idk how love works tbh but after this it's standard otome stuff. Maybe he's like a tsun in hyper denial until Catarina gets taken by the pirates (who at this point aren't revealed as the Lindgren private army, or maybe the Sangrids are here again) and he basically whips out all stops to save her. Cue a CG of him angrily checking her over for wounds (and still not saying much).

I feel like he would show his affection more physically (as in, lead her places while holding her arm) but later ofc he does start to talk and she's like wow 😳 he's hot. Ah, I was right, he was a hidden route after all.

An important thing to note is that Catarina doesn't need people to change what wording they use when talking to her to be able to tell when their attitudes change. It's one of her special skills, and it's canonically rarely wrong. This means that even if he still refuses to acknowledge her, she can tell he's softening up inside. And of course, this will fuel her "he's really not a bad person" thoughts.

(At the end she can have the dream of Frederick dying in Blue Tale and be like huh? So he wasn't a route then? Strange. Oh well.)

Number 3. Maria

This one should have been in the main game. I think we can all agree on that fact. The only argument I can accept for it not being there is that it wouldn't really be fair on any other character, since it's obviously the best route.

I don't really know what it would entail, aside from a lot of blushing from all parties involved.

Geordo and Keith might sigh that at very least, they don't have to worry about Maria taking advantage of Catarina. (Then send some pointed remarks at each other on that matter)

The good route is the wedding and the happy route is their little cafe they open up together. Rozy appears as a customer and they all talk about how amazing Maria's baking is.

Number 4. The Sangrids

I think only two of them are named and honestly they aren't that cute, but that can be written off to them being total side characters in the game. They can get redesigns for the fandisk, or a new guy can be introduced.

Don't have much to say here other than an otome game about pirates where you don't even date any real pirates??? What a letdown.

If Silva the pirate frfr can be a route in FL Blue Tale, then Morgan or someone new can be a route in my next life as a villainess: all routes lead to doom! pirates of the disturbance, the Fandisk. It could happen.

Number 5. One of the Lindgren private army

This is entirely because of how hilarious it would be for him (or her if they hear our Yuri prayers 👀).

You keep running into this cute person on the ship. He seems a little nervous around you but you put it down to your villainous face. (He's nervous because his boss has 20 portraits of you in his house so clearly you're very important)

Once the pirates attack Catarina is worried about him so sneaks out or something to run into him. He has to juggle doing his job (preventing animosity between Sorcier and the Lindgren household) with being nice to Catarina (orders from the boss). The issue is if he said he was actually a pirate all along she would feel betrayed!! And he can't have that!!! But he also can't really explain it any other way? So he's just really awkwardly changing the conversation and time it appears and it's hilarious if you know what's going on.

At some point he makes a comment about how cute Catarina looked as a child (Rozy once showed him) which confuses her because they haven't met before? And he has to stumble to explain himself like uhmmmm I meant you probably did haha, I didn't mean it for sure, it's just the vibe you give off haha I've never seen you before in my life.

Its very important to me that instead of some lie snowballing into something ridiculous, he simply fails to explain anything and just makes very suspicious faces and runs off a lot to avoid talking. Catarina is bemused, but also feels that he's a good person so it's fine.

Number 6. Misc stuff

Atp I'm just trying to justify making a whole post and pretending this wasn't about Sora. But I still want to see more scenes.

Weddings for everyone. CGs included. Geordo getting one isn't fair, I think Mary at very least deserves one as well. And Rozy. Since they're the three most active fighters.

More kisses. Why not.

More tree scenes. Let Catarina climb!
