Who’s the messiest one: Oh my god, I’d imagine they’d both be equally awful in that respect. Lily would come over one day, take one look at their living room, and walk right out. They’d think of it as “organized chaos” until the day they suddenly find themselves neck deep in dirty laundry and food wrappers.

Who feels the most uncomfortable about PDA: Neither. They’re both irrevocably unapologetic about PDA. They’ll especially pull out all the punches whenever they’re in the presence of any Ministry stiffs or pureblood zealots, cracking jokes about how they’re just practicing for when the time comes to bring a mini blood traitor into the world. 

Who’s the funniest drunk: They’re both loud and obnoxious about it, but Marlene takes the cake because she somehow always ends up doing horrible impressions of people by the end of the night (her impression of McGonagall is a self-professed talent of hers). 

Who texts the most: I’d say it’s even. If we’re looking at this in modern times for a second I can picture the two of them as the king and queen of snapchat.

Who has the most embarrassing taste in music: Sirius. I’ll just leave the specifics up to your imagination.

Who reads the most: Neither of them are the biggest readers just because they have little patience for it, but once in a blue moon Marlene will become obsessed with some mystery/thriller novel and won’t put it down till she’s done, only to emerge from the experience pissed and wondering how the bloody hell some muggles have managed without magic all their lives.

Who’s better with the kids: Initially, it’s Marlene. She grew up with a big family and has more experience with kids in general. Sirius would be good in the sense that he’d be funny and entertaining, but he’d be extremely hesitant about forming any kind of real bond at first. He’ll think back on all the shit he went through back at Grimmauld Place and fear that he’ll “damage them” or that he’s “not good enough” to be a father to anyone. Eventually, when he comes to grips with the situation he’d be truly amazing with them. They both strike me as people who’d be good with kids, to be honest. They’ll joke around about stranger’s kids and have zero patience with them because it’s not personal, but with their own kids they’d be pretty great (and hilarious). 

Who’s the one that fixes things around the house: Sirius will try, but Marlene seems to have a knack for repairing even the most mundane of things, sometimes even without magic. More than once Sirius has made a challenge out of it. More than once he’s lost.

Who’s got the weirdest hobby: Not weird per say, but I see Sirius as being into stargazing? Since his family has that whole tradition with being named after constellations, I figure at some point he’d have learned the origins behind it and just developed an interest in it. He’ll sometimes just go out at night whenever he’s feeling particularly nostalgic (or resentful) over his family and lie down out on the grass for the rest of the evening. More often than not, Marlene will join him and even though he’s told her countless times before, she’ll listen to him point out all the constellations and name them. It’s the only time he’ll ever really allow himself vent or reminiscence about his family, so she doesn’t mind. So as long as he doesn’t have to do it alone.

Who cooks and who cleans up: lolwhat Well, they’re both pretty shit at housekeeping charms and could probably burn toast. Marlene, though, has a surprising affinity for baking. Tell her to cook something and she won’t know what to do. But she’s your girl when it comes to Wizarding sweets. Try to ask her why she can’t do both and you’ll probably end up with her boot up your ass.

Who’s the messiest one: Well, Regulus is more used to having someone clean up after him so he’d have his messy tendencies, but Mary tends to be all over the place whenever she’s excited about something or focused on a project, bringing chaos with her and not even being self-aware enough to notice it. It doesn’t help with Kreacher’s initial opinion of her and you’ll never find Regulus more annoyed than when he wakes up in the morning and trips over a boot or scarf.

Who feels the most uncomfortable about PDA: Regulus for sure. Mary’s too blunt and carefree to care about that sort of thing. She doesn’t usually force those types of situations on him, though, knowing that it makes him uncomfortable, unless it’s to purposely annoy him.

Who’s the funniest drunk: Mary isn’t so much a funny drunk as she is one who varies between wild and reckless and sulky and depressed depending on the day and the situation behind the drinking. So I’m gonna go with Regulus, especially just because the idea of him being drunk is funny to me. 

Who texts the most: Oh my god, I think Regulus? At the beginning stage of learning how to text (what’s this? a way to write to someone… without use for an owl? whaaaaa??), he’d be doing it non stop. Mary would find it equal parts cute and annoying.

Who has the most embarrassing taste in music: I’m… not sure. They’d find each other’s taste in music embarrassing some times depending on the song (muggle upbringing + pureblood upbringing = varied tastes).

Who reads the most: Ahhh this question reminded me of that secret book exchange headcanon ajsdklsdkl. Hmm… I’d say it’s pretty even. They both still have their biases rooted in their upbringing (Mary still prefers muggle literature, Regulus prefers wizarding literature), but they help one another branch out their interests and consequently their book collection is always growing. If anything, I’d go with Mary because whenever she can’t sleep because of her nightmares, she’ll go to the living room to read on her own and ease her mind. Sometimes Regulus will quietly join her and read the book aloud to her while she gradually drifts off to sleep. I don’t know, it’s just a thing I’d imagine they’d do.  

Who’s better with the kids: I don’t think one would be better than the other, honestly, because they’d each have their own distinct way of dealing with kids. Like, Regulus would be confused and irritated at first (“what the bloody fuck is a diaper?” “how do you manage to fly a broomstick straight into a tree?!”), but his devotion to his kids would be endless and he’d be the one who’d offer to tutor them in subjects they’re struggling with and teach them how to play quidditch (take a second to imagine how excited he’d be to get his son or daughter their first broomstick). Mary would be the parent that can relate most to the kids and is more patient with them. She’s just naturally more playful and willing to go along with their antics, at times managing to convince Regulus to join them in games of Hide and Seek or Auror and Dark Wizard.   

Who’s the one that fixes things around the house: Regulus as he’s generally just more efficient with getting shit done.

Who’s got the weirdest hobby: Mary doesn’t have much in the way of hobbies, and the only hobby I can think of Regulus having would be playing quidditch which isn’t really weird? Though Mary would for sure tease him about his intensity for the game. Regardless, she always gives in and goes to the quidditch world cup with him, barely restraining a laugh at how excited he gets whenever a player scores.

Who cooks and who cleans up: Neither because Kreacher’s never leaving the family okay. When he eventually gets over his tendency to only serve Mary burnt scraps and soap water after some coaxing from Regulus, it turns out to be a pretty decent system. One where Regulus sometimes pitches in with the cooking and Mary with the cleaning.
