Kory just got back from sparring with Chris and there was only one, one, thought on his mind and that was cuddling with his girlfriend. Since everything went down with Chia, he only had one thought when he wasn’t busy with Chris and his Meister work and that was Gabbie. Kory got so close to losing her once and he wasn’t going to do that ever again. He was grateful that Gabbie’s mom just kinda let him in to her home. Walking down the hall to her room he stopped at the door, hearing the soft lull of some opera aria he didn’t know and confused him. A frown pulled at the sides of his lips at the thought she might be busy, but then he realized and didn’t care and opened her door. 

His heart softened at what he saw when he opened the door, lips pulling into the brightest smile. Gabbie was asleep, stuffed animal pulled to her chest, body curled up against itself. Her breathing was light and she just looked so content. So gentle and sweet and lovable. Closing the door as quietly as he could so he didn’t wake her, he sat down on the bed next to her sleeping form. Kory’s hand moved slowly to rub her side, stopping once she started to shift. The last thing he wanted to do was wake her up. Moving down to kiss her forehead, Kory pulled out his phone. He’d just wait here until Gabbie woke up. She deserved some sleep.

she needed advice. she couldn’t go to her sisters or her grandmother like she used to. sirenetta couldn’t go swimming home to ask them. she trusted them to help her work through her feelings, figure something out. “i want dad to approve him, be able to at least like the person i want to be with.” if the rumors were true and he was thinking about proposing, her father’s approval was important to her, especially if they wanted a family along with a marriage. “he’s sweet and he loves me. but he’s human, that’s what he hates most. i don’t know what to do to make him look past that fact.”

🍷- Yes! He’s a social drinker. Thanks to his fast angel metabolism, he can drink a lot of people under the table when in that environment, simply to join in on the group’s fun. But he doesn’t miss it when he goes without, and if people are just drinking casually and having a chat, he’s more likely to choose a drink based just on its taste, even if everyone else has something alcoholic.

The worst thing he’s done was sneak around behind his family’s back to try to coax a demon back to the good side. She wound up playing him like a fiddle, and had actually lured him in in the first place, so it was put down to his naivity at the time. But it was also attraction. He liked her, so when he found out she was a demon, he put in extra time and effort in the hopes that she could come back across that line. Having her betray him in the end, ambushing him with a group and holding him as a hostage for a while...

He didn’t want to admit to anyone that he missed her, or even how close they’d gotten before she revealed her motives. But to everyone else, that pain was covered with the trauma of being captured. So it’s one of the very few secrets he’s purposely kept.

Too young ... she knew that she was too young for this, far from being ready. As far as she was concerned she had barely begun even starting to live her life, only to have it knock it back down on her ass ... figuratively, of course. She never thought about being pregnant, never thought that it would even be in her radar for at least another 5 years, if not longer ... and yet look at her now? Yes, she knew that her Mother would help her, but ... really there was nothing that Emma felt that she could possibly do to prepare for this child, and the way Kyle continuously bounced in and out of her life from wanting to be a part of their child’s life and then flipping the switch certainly wasn’t helping matters. 

“...I’m not ready for this...” speaking quietly to a man that had quickly grown to be a dear friend of hers, a shaking hand moved to settle at her extended stomach, too big now to even think about trying to hide it even if she were to wear a sweater.
