-> I'm a Leftist, first and foremost, though specifically a Democratic Socialist. I hover somewhere between revolutionary and reformist, and align with Left Communism and Left Populism. Not a US Democrat, who are center-right (the overton window in this country is fucked). The Dems are only slightly better than the Republicans, and third party would actually win into office if people weren't obsessed with the establishment/bipartisanship/the definition of insanity.
-> We need more Gun Regulations/Common Sense Gun Laws BUT we also need to deal with the mental health crisis in this country as I do believe that's the root of the gun violence/violence in general. Despite all that, political violence is a fact of life and is necessary sometimes. Logically the death penalty shouldn't be a thing with our shitty justice system BUT some people should definitely die instead of being locked away forever. We need to stay out of other countries if all we're gonna do is make things worse/babysit and when we have plenty of shit back home to deal with (stop funding Israel & lower the military budget).
-> We definitely need a certain level of government oversight, especially for stuff like pro-abortion rights, education curriculum, disaster relief, equal rights, etc etc. Freedom of Speech ≠ Freedom from Consequences (the 1A only applies to what the government can't do to you for what you say and doesn't cover stuff like hate speech). Healthcare should not be privatized, higher taxes or not I dont care look at every other Western nation, and we should not have a fucking tax industry.
-> I dislike Establishment Dems, US Liberals/people who are Right-wing but call themselves something else (Moderate/Centrist/"Apolitical"), the Right in general, Blue MAGA/"Vote Blue No Matter Who" and Anarcho-Capitalists. I'm okay-ish with Social Democrats, Progressivism/Social Liberalism and Anarcho-Communism and I vibe with non-Tankie Communists, Anarchists and Antifa. I live in a permanent blue state but want to vote independent so technically both parties have my vote (it's unfortunately either Dem or Republican presidents for now so as much as I hate it I have to pick one and I would never vote Repub).
-> Being a Feminist is important to me, especially an Intersectional Feminist, because surprisingly all bigotry is connected and I'm a cis-passing AFAB who grew up being perceived as a girl. I try not to be a misandrist, but I have a tendency to lean that way so I have no problems being called out or calling others out. I'm not anti-natalist or anti-marriage but hypercritical. I dislike the heavy focus on both in the social and governmental sphere. We should all be picky about having kids (only do it if it's a for sure YES) and getting married instead of focusing on divorce rates and non-existent "underpopulation" issues.
-> I'm VERY pro-bodily integrity/autonomy, to the point where we'd probably get into unpopular opinion territory if I explained in detail. I'm a follower of the "Paradox of Tolerance" and anti-Respectability Politics & Tone Policing; some people and groups don't deserve jack shit unless THEY do the work (it's always ethical to bash a Nazi/Fascist).
-> I wouldn't say I'm "anti-Religious" but hypercritical and I have a particular disdain for people who use religion to justify bigotry/try to force their beliefs as fact onto others. I don't care for megachurches, organized religion. If any God was revealed to be real tomorrow, it would just be fact and not belief anymore and I still wouldn't worship said God. Mormonism/LDS and American/Evangelical Christianity are probably the worst religions imo (Scientology doesn't count because it's for sure a cult, so it's bad anyway). Blind-faith believers are as annoying as your stereotypical Skeptic (who I like to refer to as "blind Skeptics").
