(hi friend, this is for those 30 uncommon character development questions) 4, 12, and 19.
character development time!
4. Do they have any verbal tics? Do they have trouble pronouncing certain words or getting their thoughts across clearly?
Mabel sometimes has trouble with big words. It’s not that she doesn’t know what they mean or how to say them, she’s just really unsure of herself so she mispronounces things on purpose a lot to make it funny. She thinks it’s better to be laughed at for something she does on purpose rather than making an actual mistake.
12. Describe 5 unusual characteristics your muse has.
1) She doesn't like being the center of attention for the wrong reasons, so if she's sick or something, she doesn't like to bring attention to it and make others feel bad. 2) The only person she likes arguing with is her brother. 3) She knows a lot more than she gives herself credit for. But since Dipper is the "smart" one, she'd rather let him answer things and show off even if she knows the answer too. 4) She's very emotionally driven, so she tends to follow her gut instincts even when other evidence shows doing otherwise would be the better option. 5) She doesn't like thinking negatively about anyone, so she tries her best to make friends with everyone and is quick to forgive. Which has gotten her in trouble before. You'd have to do something pretty bad for her to hold a grudge against you.
19. If your character was suddenly challenged, would they rather run away or stay and fight?
It probably depends very specifically on the situation. I feel like if Dipper was in danger or was with her, she’d definitely stay and fight. Most of the time she’d want to fight because she likes challenges and proving people wrong when they doubt her. Otherwise she might run away if she knew she didn’t have a good chance of winning (this is more of a physical fight type thing though).
