I can't believe this is even such a huge issue compared to a million other issues right now, but I decided to give my 2 cents anywho & here was my response: "No, the rest of them need to get off their pedestals they've put themselves on. If 1 of the best anchors with history there accidentally swore, they would not even think about firing him/her. There would be a great public apology & that would be the end of that. He deserves another chance, who knows, he could be BETTER than any of them & they're missing out. He's human like everybody else. They need to stop being so obnoxiously harsh. It's just a word."

Watching his profanity-laced flub for the first time was “gut-wrenching,” fired local anchor A.J. Clemente told TODAY Wednesday.

Just 15 seconds into his very first broadcast as the new weekend news anchor for NBC affiliate KFYR in North Dakota on Sunday, he dropped an F-bomb and an S-bomb on air.

I could have bypassed over a decade of poverty and abuse in small-market TV land by simply saying “fuckin’ shit” on-air?

I used to work at KFYR-TV in the crap-tastic binge-drinking wasteland tundra of Bismarck, ND. I never once considered saying “Fuck” on the air or showing by ass during a reporter stand-up…boy was I wrong. I really should have thought outside the box!

I'm sure many of us have had pretty bad first days — at school, at a new job, a bad first date. But this weekend, we got word of a case that may take the cake.

A.J. Clemente was making his debut as weekend anchor for KFYR in Bismarck, N.D.

Just before his co-anchor made the big introduction and obviously unaware that he was live, he let a series of bad words fly, apparently because he was not succeeding at pronouncing the name of the London Marathon winner, Tsegaye Kebede.

Just a second into his first telecast A.J. Clemente can be heard muttering “gay f****** shit.”

Clemente has apologised and was subsequently suspended.

The local news team for the NBC affiliate in Bismarck, North Dakota welcomed a brand new anchor last night named A.J. Clemente. And apparently they went live before he was ready, because the first two words he said on-air were not good words.

Poor guy, first day jitters. Well we all had a laugh right?
