This was going to be interesting… a new model and similar to her shadow. Well… not as alien as her shadow but similar nonetheless. Booting him on she smiles tilting her head at him.
“Welcome to the world Sonic” she chuckles softly as she stays knelt at his level.
"Last I checked, Maria was a human, not a Rhyhorn."

Despite everything she been through and done; it was clear the rabbit was still nervous considering she didn't want to make a huge mistake even if the other always believed in her.

The migraines have been getting worse lately. The Pirate King blames it on poor weather and rough waters that have inconvenienced them as of late. Blaming it on STRESS when his delinquent crew seemed to also be apt, in moments that held short bursts of anger . The Captain certainly wishes it was merely that. If the consequence he faced was only the risk of gaining grey quills early , he’d be living a very different life right now.
Within the confines of his own quarters, he peers into a mirror — a tiny, shattered little thing — with his eyepatch removed. Clawed fingers lightly trace the bottom lid of the typically covered eye, pulling it down slightly, as neon red and sickly yellow stare back at him, the slitted pupil narrowing further in reaction to light placed on it.
“ Gettin IMPATIENT , are ye ? “ he mutters to no one that’s presently in the room with him, voice dripping in disdain towards the reason behind such an unnatural ailment. He would never go as far as to say he regrets his decision, but by god, he sure does wish it came with someone a little less IRKSOME .
Speaking of irksome , his ear twitches at the sounds of someone rapidly approaching his door. It earns an annoyed growl, hurrying to put the eye patch over its proper spot. He needn’t bother asking who it is; there’s only one who’d have the gall to come storming up while he’s obviously BUSY . The others tend to value their health a little too much for it.
As soon as he’s prepared for visitors , he turns around in his seat to face the door, barking, “ What ? “

A harsh grumble escapes the echidna as the hedgehog's hand catches his shoulder to stop him mid-stride, his gaze still aiming daggers past the casual stance of the blue obstruction where it has settled on the ordering counter at Green Hill's local Wendy's. Sparing the sweating cashier a 'we'll settle this later in the parking lot' sort of squint, he directs his attention back to Sonic, gesturing plaintively back at where their fox comrade was holding up helpless hands and shooting their more level headed leader a nervous smile signaling that he'd tried to settle this peacefully already to no avail.
"The fox asked for no pickles. Now is ever the time!"

"Dog, huh?" She KNEW for certain there was no way he actually had a dog. He didn't have the patience, and they couldn't keep up with him anyway. "Alright, let's see the pet then. Come on, call them over. I DARE you."
She was sure that he knew she knew the truth. There was no escape for the hedgehog.
