I am a #spayed female white and brown am pit bull ter mix. The shelter thinks I am about 6 YEARS old. . I came in the shelter as a OWNER SUR on 07/01/2017 due to NO TIME. I came in with ANGEL #A1117126. . AT RISK MEMO: Lucy is at risk for having kennel cough which is a HIGHLY #treatable dog #cold and the shelter provides #medication. . A volunteer writes: “She’s a Lady, She’s got Style, She’s got Grace. She’s a Winner.” This song popped into my head the first time I was with Lucy, an elegant, #gentle six year old dame, brought together with sibling Angel as their owners did not have time for their pets anymore. Lucy has been #outstandingly CARED for. She is a #healthy, #lively, well #groomed, well #mannered, #sociable and #affectionate #family dog, good with her kind (and in particular with #Angel), #children and #strangers, lizards and snakes, but NOT with cats. She is also said to be #independent, #playful and #pushy. I can really see her as a #spunky dog. She welcomes visitors without barking, with a great smile and shiny eyes. She is a wonderful #walker, does her business on the way and is very polite to all other dogs. Yesterday she tried to get the attention of Pooh, a little pooch playing in an adjacent pen and extended her foreleg to touch him. Lucy was still a little bit shy but came to sit by me or lay at my feet, even rolling on her side for belly #rubs and hopping on the bench for #kisses and hugs. I truly love Lucy, a beautiful family dog who dreams to once again be the pet a person is eager to see when they come home. . A Volunteer writes: a #handsome 6 year old family dog who came with #Lucy, his sibling, as their owners did not have time for their pets anymore. Angel does not like his kennel. At home, he was not fond of his crate either. He is used to a big place called home. So he barks and sometimes grumbles in his den. Take him out and you will see what I see, a gem of a dog, #wellmannered, #gentle, very loving, a great bench #buddy, #friendly to #all and pleasant to his peers, big or small, in the street. Angel wears well his name. He is really #good looking and has been like Lucy, outstandingly #cared for. He comes with #excellent comments. Good with strangers, children, other dogs (and in particular Lucy), fine with snakes and lizards but not with #cats. He would prefer toys to balls and is known to be a #cuddle bug. Angel walks #calmly on the leash, does his business on the leash and frequently checks with me if he is doing ok. I really #love him. He is a little plump, has the #greatest #smile, makes a smart use of his ears (for the camera) and is so #sweet. Well, Angel is dreaming, like sister Lucy, of a new home to call his own and a person to #love. .
