04/06/17 // 17:30 I’m making a few summary flashcards and going through some old past papers for computing, and then I’ll work on a bit of maths!
7/9/15 And it starts again
A few people have asked me how I revise maths when I’m not doing past papers, and this is how! I do summary mindmaps on each chapter- this one’s on vectors.
friday night maths 👍
hahaha that exam was horrific hahaha
I really don't know how to feel about that exam, it was an easy paper and I know I got lots of questions right but I don't think I've done enough for an A, I nearly had a panic attack in the exam and my mind kept going blank, I'm just worried about getting into uni because I know I've made loads of stupid mistakes and I'm completely fucked for C4 tomorrow.
Harmonic Form
Rcos(θ + a) or Rsin(θ + a)
Uses trig angle formulae
Example: 2sin x + 5cos x = Rsin(x + a)
2sin x + 5 cosx = Rsin(x)cos(a) + Rsin(a)cos(x)
Rcos(a) = 2, Rsin(a) = 5; tan(a) = 5/2 --> tan-1(5/2) = 68.2°
R2cos2(x) + R2sin2(x) = 22 + 52 R2(cos2(x) + sin2(x)) = R2(1) = 22 + 52 = 29 R = √29
= √29cos(x + 68.2°)
