I got 88% on a Mechanics paper that I did earlier this week. As I marked it, I made a list of things that I’d gotten wrong to avoid in future. I took another paper this afternoon and got 100%- so hopefully, that’s made a difference and I can replicate it in the real exam!
What’s hugely helpful for me in Maths exams is to develop methods of self-checking, by, for example, solving the question another way. When that’s not possible, by doing past papers you can build up a sort of mental checklist of things to check carefully. I think this is probably common to a lot of people with ADHD, but my main problem is making silly mistakes or not reading the question properly, when I know the content.
31/05/17 // 15:04 I've given up on the aesthetic at the moment as I'm just focusing on doing the work this close to exams! Currently working on the C4 topics I'm not too good at
My first exam (C1) was today... The paper was nicer than expected but still I made a few mistakes And now I'm absolutely shattered and I can't focus on these 3 past papers that are due tomorrow... Guess I'll just have to make an excuse, oops.
26.2.17 this maths work is so tedious but it's nice to finally understand what i'm doing for once! 📚 i'm seriously missing being able to work in the sunshine - bring on summer! ☀️desk light is cosy but nowhere near how amazing studying outside is!! 💞

Bought Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell by Susanna Clarke in a charity shop today. It even comes recommended by my favourite author, Neil Gaiman, which gives me something to read because he hasn’t written a novel since 2013 write a new book I’m literally begging you Gaiman get off Tumblr for two minutes
I’m still on Easter holidays, and very much not revising AS Maths as much as I should. I have done about 1.5 past papers, but in truth I don’t know anyone who likes P1 and M1, which I’m sitting in two and three weeks time respectively. They’re tolerated at best.
