“Aww, is Aizawa-sensei more interesting than me?” Kaminari breathed against Hitoshi's neck. “Have a crush on teach?”

And that was the downside to not telling your classmates that the teacher was your Dad. They put images like that into Hitoshi's mind.

He grimaced. “Don't even joke about that. Not to mention I like blonds more.”

Fuck. That hadn't been meant to slip out.

Kaminari lit up, though, so Hitoshi wasn't too mad at himself about it. His mouth was curving wickedly. Hitoshi steeled himself, hoping against hope that he wouldn't blush at whatever comment Kaminari came up with.

Something hit their bus just as they were turning a corner and shrieking filled the air before turning to choked screams.

“Do you have the goods?”

Squinting through the darkness - against the bluish black of the night, the bird head was easy to miss - Touya nodded, throwing his voice out low and soft. “Yeah, but got some extra goods as well. Will that be a prob–”

Light flared to life and both the shadowy creature behind Shouto's new recruit and Touya flinched. The quirk screeched and retreated into its owner.

“N-nah. It was just… too loud, got a little bit spooked there.” Hitoshi tried to weakly smile. Strangely enough, one of the girls and the guy with too many limbs looked sympathetic. Wait, weren't those the two who had enhanced hearing? “I should have stayed at General Studies, shouldn't I?”

He had been aiming for a joking tone but Midoriya's eyes set into a mulish expression, as though he was about to pull up a whiteboard and write all the reasons why Hitoshi shouldn't joke about that.
