Furo’s Adopted Children
Okay, this is the culmination of all the fictional baby fever I have been feeling. @sugarandmelody asked who the babies that Furo would adopt were...so I had to. There was no other option XD. I don’t specify which one is adopted first or if there are age gaps.
So, to start off, we have a little fairy-boy (haven’t decided on half-fae or full)! He is food motivated and a sweetheart. He is not picky and will eat anything given to him with a smile and say that it was delicious. This is good for Furo, cause they are not the best cook. Like with potions, they will follow the recipe only for it to go horribly wrong at the last minute.
A bad thing with him eating anything is that it will literally be anything. If he becomes curious on how a table tastes, he will bite it. No regrets. Furo will have to teach not to eat the furniture along with not trusting just anybody that offers him toast.
He often runs a colder temperature and is just cold all the time, even in warm weather. Usually this will just lead to him being a cuddle-bug and wanting to cling to anything for warmth. Cue a mountain of stuffed animals or him going out into the sanctuary to snuggle with a particularly fluffy creature. If he is feeling mischievous on the rare occasion, he will put his freezing cold hands or feet on the back of your neck, legs, ect. to elicit a reaction.
Mouse beastgirl! She is the sensitive type and will cry for practically any and all emotions. She probably was crying when Furo first came to adopt, definitely cried when she learned she was adopted, and then cried once more when she saw where she was going to be living with all her new siblings. Furo was definitely worried with how much she cried, but they learned how to distinguish happy tears from sad tears within the first couple of months.
She is very fast. One of those “blink and you’ll miss her” types. She will be peeping at you from around the corner and will run away the moment she realizes she’s been spotted. If she feels like she’s being pursued, she will run faster and try to find either Furo or one of her siblings that can deal with it better.
Furo’s little helper! She loves to do small tasks with them, usually in prepping the food or something for the sanctuary residents. She also is the one that will sit and do crafts with Furo. Something quiet and calm that will help ease her already fraying nerves.
TROUBLEMAKER!! This one Furo 100% saw being a menace to society and said “I want that one. They are now my child.” If the orphanage tried to talk them out of it, Furo would just buckle down even more. This kid doesn’t know what they are getting into. Their bark is worse than their bite.
Would be the most reluctant to help with the sanctuary. They’d be tasked with feeding chickens, try to just do the bare minimum, and wind up being chased by the chickens for more food. The most vocal out of the children. They have no filter and will look an adult dead in the eyes and call them sleaze bag. No cursing though, Furo makes sure of that.
What they do enjoy is looking at Furo’s collection of oddities. Will deny it but will always ask for the story behind a certain rock they have when being nosey. They also get really close to Furo’s dad, their new grandpa. They brighten slightly being able to hang out with the goofy, yet scary old man.
A ditz. Maybe. Very hard to tell in all honesty. They don’t talk a lot and always have a slightly puzzled expression. Will stare you down like they are trying to figure out what you are. Will either give a huff of approval and walk away or furrow their brows ever so slightly and cling to Furo. They were the one to choose Furo, going up and just clinging to their pant leg the entire time. Furo couldn’t just leave them after that. The child is very inquisitive and tries to figure things out hands on.
They show the most similarities to Furo, mostly in bringing home odd things and wanting to keep it. They will catch a wild baby bunny and want to keep it. This is where having a partner would come in handy, because it would take all of Furo’s willpower not to say yes. Nonliving things, like they found a big stick or something, Furo is willing to let them keep. Doesn’t hoard the items they find like Furo. They usually bring things back for a while before putting it back voluntarily or giving it to someone else.
Another little helper in the sanctuary! Will go around doing as much work as Furo allows them with much sincerity. Even if that means dragging their less than enthusiastic siblings out of bed to help them in the morning. Also likes playing with other’s hair. Will just walk up and start braiding someone’s hair if they aren’t stopped.
