lemme write us that much-needed chayenzo epilogue scene:
three years later, vincenzo arrives at incheon airport. a policeman stops him for a passport check because they're looking for a "vincenzo cassano", but his false identity holds up.
cha young is waiting for him in front of the airport. they share their warm smiles and greetings and head to cha young's car. but before they can reach it, the fake limousine driver from ep.1 approaches them, assuming they're a couple who has just arrived. he doesn't remember vincenzo because it's been so long, but vincenzo never lets go of a grudge. the initial look on his face is surprise and outrage, but he collects himself and gets that predatory gleam in his eyes.
cha young starts to refuse the limousine, but vincenzo leans in to whisper the story of his arrival in korea in her ear. now cha young is disbelieving and mad too. they have a silent convesation with nods and blinks before they smirk at each other knowingly. they're about to fuck these petty thieves up
moment to be genuine and sincere and say i appreciate it when people leave a like on my ramblings, especially the ones where i'm negative. thanks for hearing me out.
as i was saying about how we all need to die right now-

meet the characters: thistle company, smuttynose dive rig
dive teams are formed of 6 divers, who function as one unit. the more skilled units will typically have the same captain for all their runs, which means the same boat. most companies also have a boat that is theirs, for surface use & shore runs.
torrent company is 9 people, 6 divers & 3 shipcrew
divers:
- jani, #8113, medic. age 21.
the crew medic needs to be a quick thinker, fast underwater, & be aware of their team at all times. jani takes her job very seriously, & acts as “team mom” both in the water & on land. doesn’t splash every time, but has to be ready to jump in an instant. partnered with eleanor. cert: 200ft.
- jinx, #1313, dive captain. age 19.
the dive captain takes the lives of their team into their hands with every dive. jinx is capable, quick thinking, & experienced. staying cool under pressure is one of the most important aspects of this job, & jinx’s skill at it is why she rose through the ranks so fast. she’s one of the youngest captains ever, & is aware that she’s being looked up to 24/7. the captain is almost always first to splash. partnered with lucky. cert: 220ft.
- lucky, #7777, 2ic. age 18.
the second-in-command has to anticipate the commands of the captain, keep cool no matter what, & be prepared to step into the role of leader at the blink of an eye. lucky is caring & soft, but won’t hesitate to lay out anyone giving either jinx or herself lip. she’s trained in basic med, & can assist jani topside. the 2ic splashes every time, & is usually paired with their captain. partnered with jinx. cert: 220ft.
- eleanor, #2106, slither. age 14.
the slither’s job is to wriggle into the tight compartments that not everyone can reach. usually the youngest in the company, & always the smallest, they wear thinner suits with an umbilical attachment that can be hooked topside or to a stage tank carried by another diver. though they do carry their own air supply, their rigs are designed to attach to a thinner hose for fitting through slits in the wrecks. eleanor is an excellent slither, splashing mostly on new jobs. jinx prefers to keep her topside whenever possible, eleanor being very young & small. partnered with jani. cert: 200ft
- jaon, #1312, dive tech. age 19.
the dive tech’s job is taking care of topside & diver-to-diver communications, as well as managing the miles of hose, tanks, & gear needed to dive. joan makes sure everyone is connected, & works with adenn to devise strategies to remove or access salvage. he runs the cranes, & is trained to run the bell both topside & below if needed. partnered with adenn. cert: 200ft
- adenn, #8108, engineer, age 20.
the engineer’s job is ensuring the (relative) safety of their teammates, devising ways to shift salvage & work around the sunken ships without getting crushed. can run bell with jaon, working extremely closely to keep communications, gear, the topside ship, & the team safe. partnered with joan. cert: 200ft
shipcrew:
- mac, ship captain. age 22.
mac is the oldest, & was not raised on-base like the dive crews. she’s an impressive helmsman, running the 900ton snap like she’s the nimblest of speedboats. snap carries a pressure chamber, rescue bell, & umbilical hoses. equipped for sonar drags, mac & sofia modified most of her themselves. snap has more surprises than anyone would guess, & mac considers thistle company the proper owners of the ship.
- lis, gunner/pilot. age 17.
lis was also raised off-base, making her way to the shoals via a desperate attempt to escape conscription to the massive agriculture crews that run the inland. lis was chosen by mac, who helped her slip into the pilot program. snap isn’t a carrier (there’s only one, the resolute. part of the “big three”, berthed with the pioneer, the advanced sonar tow, & dauntless, the defence ship that patrols the islands. none of them are dive ships.), but lis is a pilot, traveling on the resolute when not on dives with torrent company. she’s the gunner for snap, esp when they cross into pirated waters. can also run helm.
- sofia, ship tech. age 19.
sofia, raised off-base, is the radar, sonar, & radio boss of snap. she runs the bell topside, & configures the temperamental sonar array to pick up bottom salvage. a genius with electronics, sofia can make anything work, & created most of the mods on snap.

✯: Our characters will go see fireworks together
"kristoff, you made it! Come, on you have to hurry!"
"Where are we going exactly?" Kristoff asked, letting Anna pull him through the open gates of the palace rather than into the city like he's expected when he came down from the mountains. "In there?"
"Yes, we're going in there. It's not like it's a bad place." she giggled at him, leading him through the large front doors. "Come on, I'm going to show you my favorite spot."
They moved down halls and up staircases, Anna used to the elegant decor and for once Kristoff looking around more than he watched where they were going. She took him higher and higher through the building, finally reaching the tower.
"I kind of stole it." Anna admitted with a grin, moving through the room which was a cozy mishmash of random furniture, pillows and blankets and books everywhere. "But come on, it's about to start!"
She hurried to the window and pushed it wide open, moving to sit in the sill and beckoning for Kristoff to join her. He did so, after a moment's hesitation, and she pointed at the boats moving out into the water beyond the city.
"We made it just in time." she smiled as they lined up; the crowds of the city that had flooded the docks quickly going quiet in preparation.
"In time for what? Anna, what's going-"
Before he could finish, the first explosion lit up the night sky, the boom reaching them a moment late.
"It's my birthday party." she told him with a smile, though her eyes didn't leave as the fireworks exploded one after the other, a riot of color bathing the whole city in light. "I don't really have a party anymore... Elsa and I have dinner together. But they still shoot the fireworks every year."
They watched in silence for a few moments, which - unsurprisingly - Anna broke. She told Kristoff the silly names she had for different fireworks, like the Sizzling Daisy and the Purple Pincushion. It was worth it when she got him to laugh at them.
Kristoff watched her face as much as the show, enjoying the way her whole face lit up at the bright display and how the explosions reflected in her eyes. And as the big finally played out and finally died down, she sighed happily and dropped her chin into her hand, listening to the people in the streets cheering.
He didn't think before he leaned over, pressing his lips to her temple for a fleeting moment that felt much longer. "Happy birthday, princess." he said, grinning a bit at the comically stunned look on her face.
She glanced up at him, her smile reappearing and growing a little. "Next year, I bet you can do better." she said with a rather cheeky grin.
He returned the look. "I bet I could do better right now."
"Are you going to?"
"I guess we'll find out." he said with a grin, tugging one of her braids.
