WHY NOT HER WHYYYY (Then again it was obvious by the Sillouhette BUT STILL SHE DIDN'T DESERVE IT)
Alright then... Spoilers under the cut...
Watari’s Body: Having been ravaged entirely by the fire around the school, Watari’s body is completely unrecognizable, with any potential vi
So we have VERY little to go off of this time around? Most of it was destroyed by the school and the files didn't seem that helpful this time around (Aside from Ojima's but we'll get to that later). However, I personally have vengance for Watari and I sincerely want her killer Dead. So that in mind, let's talk about our suspects, most likely to least.
Yanagi Shigeki: I think the least suspicious on our list. Outside of the fact he concussed due to the fallen floor, he had the least motive of anyone to murder Watari. The two weren't close but I think anyone with a brain could say they were atleast Friendly. And he might or might not have been the one to trigger the Body Discovery, soooo he's ruled out.
Hayashi Mai and Hama Ran: While I was intially suspicious of them both, with them being gone most of the Investigation, I don't think either of them has any particular reason to murder Watari. Maybe Hayashi's file based on Hasegawa's comments could be relevant, but for now I'm remaining on the doubtful side of either of them being the killer.
Hasegawa Ken: While he has been a bit of a Hypocritical Asshole during the Investigation, he really doesn't give off the vibes of someone that would commit murder. Not to mention he doesn't have any reason to. Unless he was REALLY into vengance for Kamimura, to the point he was willing people Okazaki was CLOSE to, I don't see him committing manslaughter.
And now we get to all the ACTUALLY suspicious folks. And by god there's a lot of them...
Tamba Ruiko: Least suspicious out of the most suspicous, but still not in great shape. Her paranoia has left her on high alert, to the point where she nearly pushed Hiroaki down the stairs. There's no evidence for her right now and I'm like 99% sure the killer is a guy (Or someone else we'll get to later) but she's still very suspicous to me, Idk.
Wada Masanari: While Wada doesn't necessarily have the strength or calculations to plan a premeditated murder with the Gasoline, I think he still could do it by accident. Like Tamba, his emotions were running a fever pitch due to the motive. And he was fairly close to the fire started by Watari, so him accidentally setting something on fire wouldn't that be out of the question. The only question is: Was he actually there?
Hiroaki Nakamigawa: OH BOY you're here in the top 3 again! Yeah I don't want to say it's TOO obvious and rule him out. Though he's not my prime suspects at the moment, the fact he was in the sewing room and didn't smell the COPIOUS amounts of gas in the room is suspicious as all hell. Not to mention he could have very well murdered Watari because he thought she was a danger to the school. That's mostly just speculation though as we aren't entirely certain what he was even doing there. So for the moment he's mostly safe...
And now we come to our final 2 (Yes you heard that right) and honestly I think both of them could have feasibly committed the murder. Or perhaps even, they worked together in some sort of strange twisted fashion. But regardless, I believe the actions of these two resulted in the death of Nishino... And starting with our first culprit...
The Victim Herself, Watari Nishino
The Suicide Note that Hama found, her knowledge and control of fire, and her depressed state all can easily lead someone to believe that Watari was responsible for her own death. And I think in this case the simple answer is the easy one. The weight of all the other students deaths on her shoulders was a heavy burden to carry for Watari. And I don't think she could handle it anymore...
However... Keeping in mind that Watari knows how to control fire, if she really planned suicide by fire, she would've kept it controlled to the point that it would only burn the room she was in. Or at the very least, she would try and prevent it from spreading to other rooms. And yet, the fire consumed nearly half the school... Well, I think I know who might've done that... The one who set off the fire early, catching off Watari's plan... And giving her the same result in the end...
Ojima Takeshi
Takeshi has been out for nearly the ENTIRE day at this point. Him disappearing during Investigations isn't uncommon, but he was definitely out of sorts for a LONG while. And while he is USUALLY motionless while zoned out, there are several occasions where Ojima has been shown to move around or even perform targeted actions while he was zoned out. So, if say, a Zoned out Takeshi began mixing his dream world with a real world, and unintentionally set the fire off from the Staff Room that would eventually burn Watari to death... Well, that would certainly make him responsible, wouldn't it?
But then again I could be COMPLETELY wrong this time (You can only guess the Killer Right so many times) so let me know how wrong you think I am! Have fun everyone and praying to god that Watari and Okazaki are beautiful foxes trotting happily in a forest now...
