Minji's not the best tour guide, she's aware of that. Or at least, not in Korea. Just like Amber, she had been in America for quite a while. But she can't say no to Amber's request. A tour around Hongdae won't be too much of a challenge. Plus, she had been there the week before with a friend of hers. The two girls can't possibly get lost when the memory of her previous visit was still fresh. She picked the easiest landmark for them to meet - the subway station. She's early so she waited until the designated time before sending a short text to the other. 'I'm here. ^^ You?'
okay so first of all I AM REALLY SORRY that i disappeared for so long sobs ;3; holidays were pretty hasty and i was also struggling with my muse but i'm back againnnn. my question is for those i'm having event-related threads with: since they ended already, please like this post if you want to continue them. if not, we can just start a new thread with more actuality! ;^;
to aamberrk ft soyeonrk and rkxkiseop, from santa's little elves!
that was it. nothing else could be done. it was over.
she was forever gone.
amber watched from afar, the black hat covering her blonde locks and shielding her expression from the world. it’s better this way. she’s happy now. with somebody else, but happy. that’s what matters in the end, right?
but god, how amber wished she was the one soyeon was walking down the aisle for.
the girl’s dark hair contrasted with the white dress and the bright red lips. she looked like snow white, the fairest of them all. and her smile – it hurt, more than anything, to see her smiling like that. it was a smile amber didn’t know; a smile only kiseop knew. her prince, she’d said, countless times. “i’m marrying a prince!”, she’d exclaimed, as happy as could be, right before asking her best friend to be the maid of honor.
at first, amber thought she could handle it. she’d held back all those years; why couldn’t she ignore her own heartache through this as well? as the months passed, however, the situation proved itself unbearable. more and more, it became painful to so much as catch a glimpse of soyeon around the corner. after all details had been arranged and her presence wasn’t necessary anymore, she’d started making up excuses after excuses; she’d missed the bridal shower, and only stayed long enough at the rehearsal dinner to give her short and heartless speech before retreating back to the shadows. she couldn’t do it, after all. she couldn’t simply stay put as her happiness was dragged away from her.
not that it really mattered. soyeon was happy; that was the only thing that mattered.
amber followed soyeon’s pace towards the groom with sad eyes. it felt like torture, like time had slowed down on purpose to prolong her suffering. it ended, after what seemed like at least three centuries of unstoppable hurt – there she was, then, more beautiful than ever, showing off that unknown smile as she took the prince’s hand into her royal fingers. with one last glance at the happy couple, amber turned her back on then and left. she was off to a wonderful new life.
amber wanted that too. she wanted to be happy. with soyeon. but it didn’t matter – it never mattered.
because her first and only love was marrying someone else.
Youngbae didn’t know what he was doing or why he was following Amber around everywhere today. They’d had maybe 3 conversations, in a local relaxed settings, and really if he thought about it, that was not enough reason for Bae to trust her enough to follow her around like this. They had just been walking around the downtown area, like they were best friends all of a sudden. But it wasn’t really like Youngbae had much else to do, anyway, and they’d been around each other enough now that he hoped she could tell that he was probably the least threatening person in Seoul. She didn't have anything to really worry about. It was just a bit... well, odd.
Still though, they'd seen each other on the street, and neither of them were doing anything important really, just wandering around, so they'd teamed up. Youngbae half shrugged to himself as they entered a music store, the two of them heading out into different directions throughout the store. Youngbae didn’t feel like hovering over her but he made sure to keep her in his sights, just so that he wouldn’t be left stranded in the store. Not that Youngbae was scared to be on his own—not after everything—he was just simply bored and she was somewhat his companion for the day.
