Monster High x An, Ann N Anny
Rewatching the Monster High movies, including the live action movie, I remember how much I love the trope of a human going into a magical world. Aka Clawdeen (half human/half werewolf) going to monster high. Gen 1 is still my favorite, but I do think the live action movie was fine. Which is why I'm using this as the premise for the crossover/AU. And let me say again, G1 is my favorite, nothing can ever top it for me, BUT I'm a sucker for human goes to a magical world. Which is what the G3 live action does. (I have watched so many female lead isekai anime.)
Anny would be Clawdeen, she grew up in the human with her father, but never fit in, as she's half werewolf. She can go back from human to werewolf form, but she can't control it, which means they move a lot. Till finally her dad takes her to Peach Creek, a small human town, but thanks to his wife (who either went missing or has pass away, still deciding) he know that this town has Monster High. So, he enrolls his daughter. Anny's excited as she hopes this means she no longer has to hide her true self, that is till she learns the monster world hates humans. So now in this new school, will she be able to hide the human side? Will she be accepted? Make friends? Only time can tell.
Ann would be Draculaura, from a well-known family Ann studied hard to make her family proud but when it felt like there was nothing else to learn, she found a new passion. Witchcraft. Witches are not considered real monsters, so learning witchcraft was banned for monsters. But Ann fell in love with the complicated spells and potions. So, for years she has studied in secret and now that she is at monster high, she must be more careful that no one finds out her secret.
An would be Frankie, only being alive for few days An only knows a few things, simple basis stuff. The world is a completely new experience for her, she's never even touched a phone till her first day at monster high that her father gave her to keep in contact, though she is still learning how to actually use it. So, while she might not be the smartest monster, she makes that up in incredible strength. All An want to make friends, but with a not being alive (living dead for some) for as long as the other monsters, it's hard for her to fit in, often considered weird.
So, like many of my AUs I have made, The Kankers are hybrids, with their dad being a Gargoyle and each of their mothers are different monsters. I actually had the inspiration to make them part Gargoyle from @lemonjawbreakers Cuphead AU.
Tee - Gorgon/Gargoyle - I had to make him a Gorgon; the whole covered eyes thing just fix so well. His hair does block out his powers, but if his eyes ever become uncovered, he'll turn whoever looks in his eyes to stone.
Larie - Fire Elemental/Gargoyle - So, I made him part Fire Elemental like Heath Burns, cuz to me fire just has always fit Larie's whole vibe to me. I also like to think when Laire sees Ann, his hair lights, turning into blue fire.
Jay - Werecat/Gargoyle - OK, so I didn't really know what other monster to make Jay, I went back and forth a lot on all kinds of monsters. But in the end, after looking at a whole list of characters, it just felt like being part Werecat kinda fits him.
Karen - Mummy Royalty - Naturally Karen would start as the mean girl / rival to Anny. (And no, she didn't date Tee at all, like how Cleo broke up with Deuce in G3, which I'm still upset about)
Rachel - Yeti - Okay, yes, I am 100% matching Rachel to a yeti because of Abby from Gen 1 Monster High, I mean....it just fits so well!
Jenny - Plant Monster - So, for this match I based it on the idea that Jenny has a connection with nature, aka why she can talk to Plankette, when she would carry Plankette, after middle school, she suddenly stopped.
Nate - Saltwater Monster - Don't really have an exact reasoning for this one, so again after looking at all characters, just felt like it was a fair match.
Okay for Jamie and Sam, they would actually be in like first year of middle school or maybe like the last year of elementary school, 5th grade. So, they wouldn't really be part of the story, but I still wanted to add them. I'm thinking either a 3 or 4 age difference between the 2 younger kids to the older kids
Jamie - Cherub - Okay, so first off, there isn't really a monster type that I could find, but from what I could find, Cherub would be the best creature to use. I also 1000% based this match off the of the EEnE Valentine's Day special, where Jimmy, along with Sarah, are little cupid fairies shooting people with arrows, causing shenanigans. So, it felt only natural to make Jamie a cupid/love type monster (Cherub).
Sam - Frankenmonster - Pretty simple one since he is An's little brother, it just makes sense that he is the same monster as her.
