🍂 Does your OC enjoy hugs? What do they do as a show of affection for: their friends, their family, their significant other(s) or for strangers? Over all what are they like with receiving affection from others?

Miena loves to be with her close ones and receive affections from them as any person would do. But is hard for her to meet new people, she tends to feel really shy and sometimes runaway...

If you want to hug her, you must be patient since she even feel shy with her special ones.

11. What was their favourite fairy tale growing up?

When she was growing up, she didn’t do an awful lot of reading, and never really had a favourite fairy tale. Having had much more of an opportunity to read since she settled in Vesuvia, she’s grown quite fond of the tale of Beauty and the Beast. The message behind such a story has always resonated well with her, and it reminds her not to judge others on outward appearances.

27. What makes a person beautiful to them?

Typically, it will be their smile and their laugh. Listening to someone genuinely laughing is, in her opinion, one of the greatest joys in life. It’s when a person’s guard is lowered, and you get a glimpse at the person behind whatever pretensions and facades that someone may have crafted around themselves. To see someone in a moment of genuine happiness- to her, there is nothing more beautiful in the world. If you laugh in front of her, you’re guaranteed to make her fall a little bit in love with you.

44. Can they cook? What’s their favourite dish to make?

She can cook! She travelled a lot in her younger years, and cooked for herself for a while before Asra moved into the shop full-time with her. She’s decent, but cannot make professional-restaurant quality food. Typically whatever she makes will be warm and hearty, designed to keep you going for a long time. Her favourite food to make is cawl- a traditional stew from her homeland. Asra made it for her when she first came back from death, and has done her best to recreate the old recipe she once knew by heart. If she makes too much, she’ll carry it down to the docks to feed the orphans who congregate there.

💧 - what is something that’ll instantly put a damper on their mood?

People who like really are willingly ignorant and rude about it. People who are rude to workers. Someone getting hurt by doing something that Toni told them would get them hurt and they ignored them. Seeing stray animals they cant take in. 

🩹 - what are some of their coping mechanisms?

Drawing out in the forest or in the fields! Hammering metal out for jewelry! Crying and sitting in bed with asra! Walking around the palace gardens.

🩸 - if they ever had to make a deal with the devil, what would it be for?

The thing about being stubborn and really thinking you’re right and also thinking that you think things through very well AND being kinda self deprecating is that they would absolutely pull a julian in his reversed end. 

“I’ve thought about every option, looked at every permutation of every outcome that could happen, and the path of least harm for everyone else is for me to take the hit here. I’ll make a deal with the devil to keep the rest of you safe.”

They would maaaybe also make a deal with the devil to just fucking become a tree. Extremely tempting.

10. What is their greatest mental weakness?

For Dee, her greatest mental weakness probably comes from her own indecisiveness and overthinking. She’ll freeze or throw herself into a panic because she doesn’t trust her own decision making.

For Santana, her greatest mental weakness is probably her constant need to  live within her own fantasies. It wouldn’t exactly be a problem, except for the fact that it causes her to not want to face reality.

For York, his greatest mental weakness is probably his lack of confidence in himself and his skills. He feels that he can’t actually help in ways that he would like to, since he doesn’t believe himself capable enough.

21. What is something that causes them great anxiety?

Dee gets incredibly anxious when she takes too much onto her plate and thinks that she won’t be able to actually do anything. She has a hard time prioritizing tasks, and just figuring out what to do can be extremely anxiety inducing

Santana doesn’t get anxious very often at all, but thinking about death, more specifically the idea of not existing anymore, is something that makes her extremely anxious.

York is just.....a naturally anxious person. But his is probably the most physical: he gets incredibly anxious around large farm-type animals (especially horses). He’s got no hard feelings towards the animals but like.....BIG fear.

40. Do they often blame themselves for other people’s problems?

Dee less blames herself for other people’s problems, and more blames herself for not being able to fix those problems.

Santana doesn’t blame herself for other people’s problems.

York does so O F T E N. Like very often. Like extremely often.

1. What's your OC's favorite cuddling position?

Head on lap! Whether she’s got her head on her partner’s lap, or if they have their head on hers- she loves it because it helps to lower her defenses. She feels she can be completely open with someone when she’s like this!

2. What's their favorite comfort food that they eat when they're sad?

Cawl- she can’t remember where she got the recipe from, but it’s the ultimate comfort food. It actually comes from her family (who she can’t remember) and goes especially well with some melted cheese and fresh, warm bread.

20. What's something they do absentmindedly that their partner finds adorable?

Muriel: She tends to tap her fingers against surfaces when she’s trying to think. At first he found it slightly irritating, since it served as a constant reminder that he was never alone, but now he finds it oddly adorable for exactly the same reason. It can serve as a comfort for him now, knowing that there’s always someone who cares about him right at his side.

Julian: She hums/sings while she works and cooks, and he could not be more in love with it. He’ll sing along if he knows the tune, and many a morning is spent playing ‘Guess the Tune’. Asra’s caught Julian giving her a big dopey smile when he thinks she isn’t looking, as she hums while making breakfast.

24. What's their favorite (non-sexual) place to be kissed?

H A N D. Kiss her fingertips, kiss the back of her hand as a greeting or a show of respect, kiss her palms as she cups your face- just d o  i t. She’ll melt, and have to take a solid minute to calm down, but it’ll be 100% worth it.

29. What's the cutest thing their familiar does?

Celyn ‘helps’ her get ready every morning. His version of ‘helping’ is to sit on top of her head and chirp and trill to her as she gets ready, and then try and tuck small strands of hair behind her ears and out of her eyes for her throughout the day. (Many of these efforts prove unsuccessful, but she finds it too cute to get him to stop. She swears it’s almost like he’s trying to look after her as best he can, despite the physical limitations of being a bird.)

17. Do they have a best friend? If so, who, and what makes them their best friend?

In canon, her best friends are Asra and Portia. Asra because of all the main 6, they are the one she’s known for the longest and has the closest relationship with as a result. She’s best friends with Portia because it’s almost impossible not to be- from the minute she arrived in the Palace, Portia did everything she could to make Meleena feel comfortable, and guaranteed herself a spot in her list of best friends. The two are nearly inseparable, and they can often be found in the library gossiping and laughing together.

27. What is their favourite holiday?

Her favourite holiday is typically the lead-up to the Masquerade, if it can even be called a holiday. While the shop does get extra busy during this time, it’s impossible not to be thrilled by the atmosphere in the air of excited party-goers. Will this convince her to go without weeks of persuasion? Absolutely not. She’d rather sit back and enjoy the celebrations from the comfort of her shop.

78. If they had a nightmare, who would they run to?

Typically it would be Asra, simply because they’re often the closest. However, if it’s especially bad and Asra’s away on a trip, her familiar Celyn is often the one to calm her down. He’ll curl up next to her ear and chirp a soft tune to her, which she finds strangely familiar. She could almost swear she’s heard it in a dream of her father singing to her.
