He DID make her feel stupid and unimportant. I will never understand this argument because they dated for MONTHS and they hung out uninterrupted, like, one or two times? Amber gave him way too many chances, in my opinion. Is he a superhero? Yes. Does he risk his life for the safety of others? Yeah. But, to Amber, for most of season one, he was just a normal guy. She set boundaries for their relationship that he blatantly ignored the entire time. Sorry, everyone—MARK WAS A SHITTY BOYFRIEND. Do not give me that “she knew he was a hero and still treated him badly!!” Argument. she knew for WEEKS out of the months that they dated. She gave him chances to tell her and he didn’t take them.

You guys can have your opinions about characters but most of Amber’s hatred is racism or peoples’ lack of interaction with women. They’re not all lenient. They’ll have boundaries in a relationship.

No offense but half of the Invincible fandom has literal rocks for brains 😭 Amber never said she knew Mark was Invincible, she just knew he was a superhero. Use your big brains, please.

“She shouldn’t have yelled at Mark when they were at the college,” Mark shouldn’t have been lying to his girlfriend for five months! She didn’t know his secret identity… that was literally the problem.

I really hope we get through all this ridiculous discourse before season 2 comes out because I am not looking forward to having these same arguments in the fandom again and again, or even worse, the arguments that are going to happen when the show catches up to… certain parts of the comics. Because we’re gonna have to split the fandom into people who are mature enough to have these conversations and people who aren’t if we don’t lol.

I finally watched Invincible, and the way the fandom had me thinking Amber was the second coming of Lucifer himself. 🥴🥴🥴

Spoiler alert: She wasn't. Not even close. Not even the tiniest little bit. People need to stop it. But I guess when a Black character has their own thoughts and emotions and isn't just there as a prop or punching bag for the other characters, it's a problem. Same shit, different fandom. They bestow more grace and empathy on fictional animals. I'm tired.
