This week, Dr. Aaron Ellison that Lady Gaga take fashion cues from ant species. Dr. Aaron Ellison, the senior research fellow of ecology at Harvard Forest and coauthor of A Field Guide to the Ants of New England (Yale University Press), recently visited Nantucket as the keynote speaker for the Biodiversity Conference. He stopped in to talk about ants, soil, and climate.

Ashly Nicole Rodriguez DUI Accident kills Aaron Ellison

A 19-year-old Murrieta man was killed in a one vehicle car crash early Sunday, authorities said.

Aaron Ellison of Murrieta, California died when the car in which he was riding crashed and went off the highway at 2:58 a.m. Sunday at Borel Road and Buck Road near Lake Skinner in Riverside CA.

The car lost control and Ellison was ejected.  The car left the roadway and rolled multiple times.

The 2006 Nissan Altima in which he was riding was being driven by 20-year-old Ashly Nicole Rodriguez. According to jail records, Rodriguez was arrested on suspicion of DUI manslaughter. She was released on $75,000 bail later that day.

Two others suffered minor injuries in the crash and were transported to an area hospital for care.

Ellison was a student at Chaparral High School in Temecula, and was still working on completing his high school diploma, according to Melanie Norton, spokesperson for the Temecula Valley Unified School District. He was in the process of transitioning from Chaparral to the county-run Community Day School, she said.
