This week, I talk with potter Nell Van Vorst in her studio. Her porcelain pottery often features very simple line drawings of plants and animals, their forms reduced to their essentials. We explore her studio and talk about pottery, the natural world, and her process. Check out her work on her website.

Regina Asmita-Sylvia, executive director and senior biologist of the North American office of Whale and Dolphin Conservation (WDC), and Monica Peppy, project supervisor of the WDC internship program on Nantucket, visit the studio for a conversation about whales, science, and advocacy.
