Hello Liv dearest! Just wanted to pop by after a friend of mine texted me a photo of Monica Bellucci as the inspiration for her outfit this evening. In all honesty? The divine Monica Bellucci at 61 years still looks infinitely more sensual and effortless than our Mother Gothel could ever hope to achieve, no matter how pricey Ms. Piquet’s evening gown may be or how extensive the maquillage—MG is far too self-aware of how she will appear and in doing so, it completely strips her of any “aura” she may hope to mimic.
Some of my fondest looks by the goddess that is Monica Bellucci: 2002 Venice Film Festival (at age 38), 2006 Cannes Film Festival (age 42), the 2014 Dolce & Gabbana photocall in Moscow (age 50). Oh! And how could I forget? Ms. Bellucci was absolutely radiant at the 2018 David di Donatello Awards (at age 54).
All this to say, it isn’t MG’s age that results in our sharp critique of her various “fashion” posts—but rather MG’s inability to style herself accordingly and instead choosing to wear some of the most atrocious and unflattering outfits known to humanity.
Veronica, happy weekend and welcome back!
We’ve been waiting for you like that first morning coffee, a long-awaited Friday night apero’, or a fresh mozzarella after two months of dairy detox.
I couldn’t agree more — our MG is truly the embodiment of unnatural elegance, all construction and no spontaneity. There’s not a drop of genuine charm in her; everything feels so painfully staged and boring.
Tonight we’ve already gone from Benson to Bellucci, and yes, the comparison with Monica is absolutely brutal — and I have a feeling there’s more coming. I’m announcing right now that Lunatick will soon deliver the final blow.
And let’s just say that when it comes to “the most atrocious and unflattering things humanity has ever seen,” our MG doesn’t stop at outfits😭
And now, here’s a little showcase of the outifits mentioned by our beloved Veronica. ✨
This is a saga, not a statement.
