hcs for that nerd boy??? OF COURSE:

kuroo can not STAND to study, he’s actually a pretty quick learner, but he does it for kenma’s sake.

he’s actually pretty decent at english and will sometimes say whole parts of his conversation in it because he knows no one else fully understands and he can get away with saying anything 

kruoo, in english: “hey kenma will u do my laundry tonight” kenma, too tired to figure out what he said: “sure”

he has a cat he named the doctor bc he thought it sounded cool and now people wont stop asking him if he likes doctor who. he does not. 

kuroo isnt fond of being known as the scheming captain and can commonly be found telling anyone who will listen “i’m a nice guy!!!!!! its that bastard bokuto!!!!!!! iM A NICE GUY!!!!”

and yet, he seems to get into trouble even when bokuto isnt around. funny how that works.

kuroo is unusually quiet unless surrounded by friends 

he reads. like a lot.

he thinks he looks terrible in red but likes the badass look of nekoma’s black and red uniforms 

his favorite thing to do when not playing volleyball is getting on a train and just riding it aimlessly. he loves his friends but enjoys his alone time just as much 

he loves street fairs and wishes they would come by more often

he wants to study biology when he goes to college and if yaku tells him its boring one more time he’ll kill him 

boy cant cook to save his life. just let him order a pizza, pls 

BUT LUCKILY, he has a grandma who lives across town who loves to feed her grandson

speaking of grandma, one time when he was 7 and went for a visit he found a wild eyed little boy in her kitchen eating his cookies

his and bokuto’s first meeting wound up in a tiny fists being thrown and arguments over who’s grandma she really was 

he stopped the second bokuto cried and decided he never wanted to see that happen again. bokuto went home with the rest of the cookies. 

kuroo and bokuto broke their first bone together bc he dared bokuto to climb and tree and when he couldnt get back down kuroo felt bad and told him he would catch him if he jumped. he did, but at what cost? 

now they call each other right side and left side respectively. 

one time kuroo said they were each other’s other half and bokuto called him gay and kuroo had to remind him that they had literally kissed the night before
