I’m old. What’s a “Def”?

Def is one of my favorite angsty Glee fics. A ‘Def’ isn’t a real word; in the fic, a Def is a slave (Def is short for Defective).

A short summary of the fic, in case you’re interested: Blaine is labeled as Defective by his parents when he is 15 because he’s gay. He gets sent to a few families throughout the next decade to be their slave, and they treat him awfully. Eventually he gets sent to Kurt, and that’s about where the story starts.

(My summary doesn’t do it justice; it truly is a great fic. Think Slave AU but no healing cock, relevant and realistic descriptions of PTSD and depression, characters actually working through their problems instead of their problems ‘magically’ being solved).

I'm confused. OMG, will The Take Me Over verse end with character death? I'm CRYING. Stop.

Hey @aavigueras :) No, the main story Take Me Over will not be ending in character death. What you’re reading in these posts is mention of two one-shots I wrote a while ago that would complete the entire verse. The first one is where Kurt passes (at the ripe old age of around 83) from a coronary (like his father). The second is the continuation, called The End of Swans, where Blaine is trying to go on without Kurt, bounces back and forth between living with Eva in New York and living in California. Eva moves back to California with er husband to take care of Blaine, and he dies in her arms. But before he does, we see him in his mind, walking through Central Park and reunited with Kurt and Dave, and meeting Rachel and Finn. But I’m not sure that those two one-shots will ever be posted. So no, what you will read of the original story will not include character death. <3

I love your fic but I vote for the cats.

Yeah, the cats are kinda winning in my head lol. I try to go at least twice a week if I can. But if I go I definitely need to get my butt in gear with the fic the next chance I get! lol

I don’t understand why they didn’t pre-sell tickets. It’s annoying. But seeing that muffin tomorrow is going to be awesome.

I’m wondering if Indigo didn’t know how to manage it on their webpage since its not just for one store. Oh well. I’m just telling myself that its amazing that he’s coming here at all. I thought I would have to miss out for Seattle like I did for the 5th book.

Haha. I just saw this now. Oh well it put me in a really good mood yesterday morning for sure. So the news probably helped me get things done more than anything. =)

Yeah, no pre-purchase sucks. Signed books only for the 400 first in line. I’m going EARLY.

At this point, I’m thinking of being there for when the doors open at 9:30am at the very least. It’s hard to guess how many people will line up to get tickets and at what time etc.
