Holland was carrying a comically large bag of toys down the street towards the firehouse. She'd been gathering children's toys for the last few months to donate for the holidays. After inventorying how much she had, she knew it would take a couple of trips to the firehouse to drop them all off. Problem was that she didn't have a car. Holland could drive, but she'd never saved up money for her own car, preferring to use mass transportation or renting a car if she needed one. "Do you... mind helping?" she panted, lugging the bag along as she walked. "I've got... two more... of these... at home."

"You know I once punched Santa as a kid? Literally right there," Lawrence said, pointing to the ornate throne in the middle of the square, currently flocked by parents and screaming children, "when I was...five, maybe? He laughed when I told him I wanted a girlfriend for Christmas, and I guess I took it personally."

Tobias had sat in silence with the other for a few moments. He let it all sink in and stabilize between them before he broke it. "You know. I appreciate you hanging out with me during this time. Don't have much family out here anymore and it's a time where someone can feel really distant from things given that," He turned to the other. The smile worn was small like Tobias' usual, but the emotion behind it was different. It was thankful, but almost forlorn. There was a small sadness there. "Seriously. Thanks."

Finn draws out the last word as he usually does before he prepares an information dump about something he's certain most people never asked about.

"It wasn't until the fourth century church decided to celebrate Christmas on the twenty fifth of December so that it aligned with the Roman festival Saturnalia? And they did not just snag inspiration from there, it was an alternative created in place of the Pagan's celebration of winter solstice. Interesting where it's landed and become today, wouldn't you say?"

"I'm starting a pact now," Milo murmurs from behind his glass. It is filled with sufficiently watered down cocktail as a result of the length of time he's nursed it, allowing the ice to melt away entirely.

He holds up two fingers from his free hand, his thumb and pointer, and drops it to his side. "You see this," he proposes, "It probably means I'm stuck in boring or awkward small talk, and it will be your mission to rescue me."
