Okay this really rubs me the wrong way. Chapter 3 of Just for the Summer by Abby Jimenez. I noticed when Justin gives Emma his number…it wasn’t the typical fake 555 numbers they do in American media.
So I googled it.
Apparently, it’s the number for a real cake shop. In Minnesota. Odd. Same place Justin is from. Hmmmmmmmmmm…..
More googling.
Turns out. Abby Jimenez owns the cake shop chain.
I don’t like this. Advertising in a book. Put in there in a sneaky way too. I hate this. I really do not like this. In a world where there is fucking ads everywhere, we don’t need them in books! Especially in things like books that are gonna be shipped worldwide.
I’m Aussie. How the fuck is showing me an ad for a place in another country, that I can’t even afford to go to if I wanted to, gonna benefit anybody??
This is bullshit. I’ll not be buying a copy of this book when I’m done. Even if I like it. I don’t support bullshit like this.
