Jeff realised halfway through the drive to Abed’s place that he should have asked if Troy and Annie were there. Which was to say that the more he thought about it, the more he wanted to kick himself for wearing a plain t-shirt instead of something nicer-- a plain t-shirt was fine, in Abed standards, but for Annie and Troy to see him in anything that wasn’t especially stylish? God.
He beat himself up for it the whole walk up Abed’s building, sighing as he made his way to the front door. He hadn’t brought food-- there was no need to be tempted to eat, really-- but he did have a thermos with him. Granted, it was filled with a tasteless sort of protein shake, but Jeff wouldn’t have been too keen on sharing, anyway.
He lifted his arm. He took a moment. Should he go home and change? Should he make himself more handsome? Damn it, he should’ve said he’d take thirty and he could’ve fixed his hair, and--
He knocked thrice on the door, anyway.
Jeff had said fifteen minutes. He could be late to anything else in the world, but hell, he figured in the world of Abed, his favourite TV show was a bit more important than ‘anything else’ to begin with.
