I originally posted these on my twitter account (@DrKotobuki) various days while I was at work and bored. Just a quick reference for some friends and possible fans to enjoy! Also adding more as I see fit.
In no particular order:
Abel's monocle doesn't do a thing for his sight at all, it just makes him look more classy. Also it's a computer screen.
Abel color-coordinates his monocle earpiece to match his outfit. The beads on all the strings are gemstones.
Jet loves cuff links and keeps a large collection of them. His favorites are ones made of human teeth.
Shujin can speak more than six languages.
Kappi's name is actually supposed to be 'Cappy'. She spells it like this because it's closer to how Koji spells his name.
Nikos was originally going to be Greek Orthodox. His mother, however, still is.
Elias is quite fond of Shakespeare plays.
Koji's favorite bands are The Hystericals (a punk rock group), Fairy Primordial (metal/rock opera with female singer) and BLOODMOUTH (heavy, head banging metal).
Abel secretly enjoys Hindi pop music.
Nikos has no idea what a VOCALOID is. He thinks Miku is a mascot for butterfly headphones.
Lero's bed has red silk sheets. Koji sleeps on a mattress with no bed frame.
Elias and Kaius are identical twins, but it's fairly easy to tell them apart. Only one has radiating bloodlust. (And Kaius is physically heavier than Elias.)
There are three sets of twins in SHIFT. Good & Evil, Single-Minded Twins and Older Dead Twin and Surviving Younger Twin.
A majority of the characters have Meaningful Names. Some are Bilingual Bonuses and some have triple meanings.
Each character has a corresponding musical instrument. Koji: piano, Lero (and Abel): violin, Nikos: turntable, Shujin: cello, Elias: ehru, Jet: electric guitar, Aya: harp, Himeko: bass guitar, etc.
Himeko is the head of her weapons division. Virtually everyone who works there has a crush on her. (Including the ladies.)
Jet is a rare example of a strictly heterosexual demon. (The majority are bisexual.)
There are two May-December romances.
Nikos' true love is his cat, Muffins.
The only continent Shujin has not been to is Antarctica.
Lero and Himeko met on an internet dating site.
Lero and Himeko's son, Rikudo, do not get along despite Lero's attempts to make peace.
Koji has a pet dog, who he is engaged in a passive-aggressive relationship of one-upmanship with. Yes, really.
Nikos has seventeen piercings.
The genderbends of the characters are all canon characters and live elsewhere in the city, having their own lifetime dramas.
