oh man i don’t know for sure but the earliest i remember is maybe 5 or 6 and i had this cd my mum had given me and it was la compagnie créole - c’est bon pour le moral vol. 1 et 2, and i loved the songs «ça fait rire les oiseaux» et «la bonne aventure»

which of your fics was most different from what you usually write? witness, which also ended up being one of my favorite things i’ve ever written. i badly want to get to that point of inspiration again…i should probably just read more faulkner, that always seems to do the damn trick

what, if anything, are you going to try to do differently in your writing in the new year? i don’t know if i have anything i want to do differently, but i do want to continue to experiment with style, and try to write stories i can be proud of and feel good about!!
