Abigail passed away in the early autumn, surrounded by the plants she spent most of her life tending to.
At least Florence’s family was able to be with her in her last moments.

Watching Ruth get dressed brought a tear to Abigail’s eye. Oh, how she wished Little John could have been here to see this. She was sure he was up there, wherever he was, smiling down on his little girl’s wedding day.
Ruth began helping her mother out with the farm work, though Abigail gladly let her daughter have a break when Ruby arrived for a visit.
