the girl who’d been caught trying to sneak in to ABIS headquarters... certainly didn’t seem like much of a troublemaker. she’d likely come straight out of school, still wearing her uniform, a cat-eared hoodie over top.

she sat sullen and silent in a chair in the middle of boss’s office, picking at her fingernails, not looking up until the door opened and the older woman approached.

then her face lifted, and she blurted out, “i need a detective!”
