I can’t remember the last time I drank soda, but I sure do have a HAN-KER-ING for a Dr. Pepper.

Kalafina 27 Week Challenge - Week 20: Which Kalafina moment makes you cry?
Pic felt appropriate.
I’m not one for really getting all emotional when it comes to music, honestly. In many cases I see people saying ‘oh this always makes me tear up’ and yet I don’t get affected by it. Kinda sucks, really. Even when it does happen, it’s almost always when attending lives.
Kalafina has succeeded in doing it to me on quite a few occasions. The first of these was during the Japan Expo live, where Hikari Furu made me cry. I didn’t even care much for that song beforehand, but hearing it live? It changed my opinion a lot. The second and third instances were both during the Far on the Water live, hearing the opening vocals of Koibito immediately made me cry. The other time it happened was during Wakana’s backing vocals in Signal. Too goddamn gorgeous.
Other than that, there’s been two occasions outside of lives where it happened. Oddly enough one of those was watching the Consolation bonus ACen documentary. I don’t really know why. Maybe it was just showing how far they’d come and for whatever reason it had an effect on me. Eh. The other non-live time was first listening to Yasashii Uta. There’s only a couple of studio recordings that’ve ever made me cry, but this one did it, and on first listen at that. When the whole song swells up in the second half I just broke. I adore that song but damn, I wasn’t expecting so much emotion from it.
All in all though, Kalafina are amazing to be able to do this to me, not many bands can.

/boops Kyle on the way out
*Sighs at slow dash, restless for more RPs, even though it's bedtime*
*Contemplates sending in several asks to different muses, but everyone would either be annoyed by all the attention or not interested or they don't have any applicable memes posted recently or our muses haven't met yet or hnnnnnnnnnnnn*
*Chickens out, whines, goes to bed to face a day of work with call and a weekend of 12-hour shifts*
