As soon as she was certain the dust had settled and the men were gone, she dropped the angry facade and wrapped her arms around Regina. “I’m sorry I had to play angry.” She whispered, running her finger through her hair. She’d taught Regina to be strong when it came to those who would do her harm, but she never thought she’d actually have to use her lessons. “It’s okay, you’re safe. I suppose we’ll just have to spend more time together so you’re covered in my scent again. They won’t make that mistake again.”
Regina couldn't help the tensing of her shoulders when she was first embraced, she hasn't been expecting that. It only took moments for her to melt into the comforting arms. "You're not angry?" she asked meekly, still teasing lightly for fear of having incurring her Mistress' wrath. Despite the question, Regina nuzzled into Mal's shoulder, enjoying the soothing fingers in her hair.
