😘 (//Because I know that this cannot end well, but I think we all need to see the resulting hilarity)

Akon grunted a bit as he stretched his back, its cracks a protest to the amount of time he’d spent hunched over. Absently he reached over and gathered his tools, returning them all to their case as he finished up the job. Strange as it was for Captain Kuchiki to request a member from the Twelfth to install the reiatsu detection in his home, and stranger still that he requested Akon specifically, work was work. To an extent, he appreciated the unspoken compliment being paid him and his results. Even if it was a simple enough job for just about anyone to install.

With the last of his items secured, he turned and made his way back towards the personal quarters where he had set up the monitoring equipment. One more test run should be enough to finish the project fully, and then a quick rudimentary lesson for any that the Captain wished to use it. Hopefully that wouldn’t take long.

He was mid-thought when he pushed open the doors to the chamber, and immediately went blank. Rose petals showered the room, with a soft instrumental song being played and what he could only assume were scented candles assaulting his senses. And in the center... Byakuya Kuchiki.

Akon’s eye twitched, then twitched again.

Hisana was sitting in the lobby area, though she was hesitant to label it as such, it was very nicely laid out and looked like a ballroom certain times of the year. It was just like the Kuchiki's to even have the best waiting areas, not that many people sat in the seats like she did. She was waiting for the patron to leave the front desk before she picked up her son who had been idly playing on the floor.

Going to the side counter, "Aww Ms. Hisana!" The older woman working there smiled, "And oh my, the handsome little, Hisashi." Pulling out a small basket of candy like she often did, Hisashi brightened up and started looking through them eagerly.

Hisana took the paper and signed her name at the bottom, stating she had got her check for herself and her son. "I wan' two.."

"You only get to eat one right now. You can eat the other one later." She told him tucking the other piece of candy in her pocket and picking him back up.

More than bored, Momo found herself wondering the woods hoping to spot a weary traveler she’d be able to call her friend. There wasn’t much to do in these woods other than stalk those wondering, but she wanted something more. Why did they get to have wonderful lives outside of this ‘wall’ without ever spending any time with her? Didn’t she deserve a bit of fun as well?

She perked up, spotting a dark haired, rather stoic looking man traveling through the woods.

‘He’s perfect! I bet he’ll just love it here!” She thought to herself, quickly flittering to cross his path with a most tempting offer. 

“Sir, sir!” She paused, holding out a beverage for him. “I’m sure you must be parched. Its been a heated day and you don’t seem to have any sort of water on you. Here, you can have some of mine!” She smiled brightly, almost begging him to take a sip.

           Wa-was the Captain showing concern…

           Without a though, Renji ran his hand across his chest. The medication and healing practices were working well, though he could still feel the fresh wounds underneath the bandages.

Yachiru slipped into the Kuchiki manor once again, to play around. When she arrived through her secret entrance the sky was clear, a few clouds here and there but nothing too bad. So it was a complete shock when the weather took a sudden turn for the worse. Noticing this she made her way to get out when the clap of thunder stopped her in her tracks. Uh oh, this was bad for her. Kenpachi was nowhere near and there was no way she’d be able to get back if it was this bad of a storm. 

By the time the next clap of thunder hit Yachiru dashed into the closest room she could find and hid under a pile of cloth, hopefully the storm would fade soon so she could get back home.

Toshiro felt pleased with himself when Byakuya finally decided to address him and he sat up straighter beside the noble. Normally he would not have bothered him so, but he felt bored, and a good cure for that bored was speaking to his fellow captain.

“Enough that I won’t feel so bored, and then you can return to your book in peace. That shouldn’t be too difficult.”

His brow furrowed as he thought it over in his head, not really knowing what sort of attention exactly he wanted. If he was to be honest, he had just thought Byakuya would have continued to ignore him instead of actually responding to him. That had definitely been rather unexpected.

“...I cannot really think of anything for you to do though.”

Shutara appraised the man speaking to her, curious just what he was thinking.

“Indeed.  We are all bestial at the core.  An eye for an eye is an archaic gesture, but still the root of current justice.”

She smiled like a knife.

“Fairness is merely sanctioned revenge.”

Garnet eyes fixed on their target as vermilion lips pursed.

“But tell me, would you have the heart to forgive all wrongs?  After all, that’s the only other way I know of ending the cycle.”
