it’s as if these decrim movements are just superficial changes that only protect the wealth and class of a few and still make profits for deadly systems and keep those in power right there, to cash in their winnings. hmmm it’s as if that when we invite the killers to the discussion, instead of holding them accountable, we don’t get the change we are all praying and some/many are dying for. if your decrim movement isn’t addressing the systemic harm of (new) Jim Crow era violence and the for profit prison industry - its a farce and cloaked in colonialism and white supremacy. no, that decriminalization movement it’s enough and it’s not ok anymore to let it just pass. justice for all the stolen lives taken by police and the state.
