Reading about all the Ferguson news got me thinking about the racism in my country which made me realise that we hardly ever talk about it. Australians care more about the way poc are treated in other countries than the way indigenous people are treated in our home. I'm totally guilty of this too, I've been absolutely caught up in the recent race issues happening in the US, yet only now I spared a thought to the Aboriginal people here who have to deal with the same mistreatment; worse mistreatment perhaps. I'm going make an active effort to make more posts/to draw attention to the racism issues in Australia and I ask my fellow Tumblr users to do the same. Let's talk about this.
