Mon Mothma as Chancellor made it her focus to build up resources for the New Republic, so that the worlds hurt most severely by the Empire could begin to heal.

Mon hosted a gala, in hopes to make money to expand her legislative goals, during the event many guests became drugged, much to her chagrin. During it she met Stassam Char, who made a very large donation. 

Shortly after the gala, Mon Mothma announced she would be seeking a second term as Chancellor of the New Republic.

During the Destruction at Sernpidal she immediately began working to help refugees, and trying to figure out the source of this attack.

During the gala on Hapes, she was injured breaking her left arm in the chaos. She chose not to use bacta as more people were severely injured.

A moment Mon will never, never forget as long as she lives is how happily so many of her colleagues cheered the death of democracy. She had been a Senator for thirteen years by this point, and for all their faults she believed that the majority of her fellow senators would always have the decency to at least pretend to care about a free society. And yet when Palpatine made the declaration that the Republic was now defunct, rather than the room filling with cries of tyranny applause drowned out any mourning for the death of democracy as it played out right before them.

THE PAST

Born in the year 46 BBY, Mon Mothma was born to a very politically connected family on Chandrila and great things were immediately expected of her. Her father an Arbiter-General for the Republic, and her mother, a governor on their home world. Mon would grow up learning about her world, it’s history and about the people who inhabited and how best to help them. Mon excelled in whatever she set her mind too, and she proved a natural born leader. To no one’s surprise by 32 BBY, at the tender age of 13 she was being elected Senator of Chandrila. She was the youngest in the history of the Galactic Senate thus far. Two years into her term however, and Mon Mothma would briefly fall out of love with politics, and she would begin to doubt her family lineage. During a winter season on Chandrila, she began playing smashball, and fell in love with a man a year or so older than herself. All of this made her begin to doubt if she wanted to remain a Senator and instead become a Historian, she would travel the galaxy with the love of her life while lecturing and teaching others on the vast galactic history.

However, just like the seasons this age of rebellion would pass. Her love would melt like the snow, though she would remain friends with him, and she would return to the senate. However, she was now returning with the intention not to be a Senator because of her family, but because of her desire to do good for Chandrila, and the galaxy as a whole. During her thirty years in the senate, regardless if it was the senate of the Galactic Republic, or the Galactic Empire, Mon Mothma sought to fight for the everyday men and women of the galaxy. She was seen as incorruptible and there she became friends with like minded senators such as Bail Organa, Padme Amidala, Oncando Farr and Fang Zar. This is what lead her to help first found the Delegation of 2,000 and then later when she saw no other course of action, The Alliance to Restore the Republic or as it would be more widely known as The Rebel Alliance.

THE PRESENT

The Galactic Empire has been defeated. The efforts of the Rebellion have seen to that. Mon Mothma is now preparing for better days to come. The New Republic has been formed, a better union for all is just being to dawn. Still a lot work has yet to be done, the New Republic is still young, it will need to establish itself, and its credibility, and many worlds will be hesitant to join after the collapse of the last Galactic Republic. Mon’s main ambition right now, is making sure that the galaxy is safe and that the remnants of theempire can never threaten anyone again, and to build a strong foundation that the New Republic can use to ensure it never falters again, and that democracy is secure..

PERSONALITY

Mon is an honorable woman, who always seeks to wrong rights through safe, and proper channels. If there is a chance for peace she will always take it, but that does not mean she is not willing to fight and go to war for her ideals. This is especially the case if she feels that what she is fighting for is on the verge of destruction. She has never actively sought power for herself, but as often found herself as a leader in many circles because of her resolve. Democracy, hope, truth, and reason these are the major guiding forces for Mon in her life.  She will never stop fighting for them, and she will never bow in the face of any danger.

💚what does my muse get envious over?

   Mon Mothma is not the type of person who often gets envious. She usually is very happy for those around her, especially when they are making major achievements. One thing she was envious of was during the Rebellion, and even now, the inability to fight herself. Mon understands that her loss would be a blow to the Rebellion/New Republic, but there are many days she wished she could fight alongside the other members of the Alliance. During the Battle of Endor, she would have given anything to be with Admiral Ackbar on the bridge of Home One.
