I'm just doing all the personal tag games today to avoid work. 😂 Tagged by the lovely @elishnord 🤗
1. Origins of your blog’s name: Ha! Okay, story time. When I was 12 or 13 I would do this growl thing and flail my arms to be funny and or express irritation. It was quickly dubbed "baby dinosaur" and it became a whole thing. When I was making my tumblr waay back when I didn't know what to do for a user name and my friend suggested I use babydinosaur and now it just feels sentimental and I can't change it.
2. My ‘I’ll always order this food’: Some kind of chicken strips. I was a very picky eater growing up and chicken strips was always a safe food and still is.
3. Overused emoji: 😂🤗🙈
4. Current comfort movie, show, and book:
Movie-- the princess bride (forever comfort movie)
show-- Frieren. It's so wholesome 🥰
book-- Princess Academy (I hated reading as a kid due to my reading disorder. It was just really hard. Princess Academy was the first book I sat down and read on my own without being forced and actually enjoyed--it was a big deal. I loved the main character. I just thought she was really compelling and creative. She was small but mighty. It just holds a lot of comfort and nostalgia now.)
5. Song on repeat: I still play Drunk on Pride by Fish in a Birdcage a lot and Bog Bodies by Rabbitology has made it's way into the mix.
6. My current hyperfixation: I've been making a lot of stickers lately 😂
7. Oddly specific thing that brings me joy: My fidget ring. It clicks and spins. It's also has a little indent like a worry stone that I can rub. It's the best. Oh, and mushrooms. I just think they are neat.
8. What smell makes me happy: Rosemary. Idk why, I've just always found it sort of cleansing? I think I also associate it with childhood. We had a massive rosemary bush on the side of our house growing up.
9. Something I loved as a kid and secretly still do: shiny rocks and random objects. I used to collect things I thought were magic as a kid and I still have them and I still love them.
10. Phone wallpaper right now: A wonderfully silly picture of my cat and her toe beans.
11. Are you an early bird or a night owl: I'm more consistently a night owl but I do rise way earlier now days than I used to. Night time still feels like me time though. I'm the most relaxed--feels like the rest of the world has stopped moving so I can breathe.
12. If you work, what is your profession and do you like it: I am a full time phd student currently ripping my hair out whilst working on my dissertation on cognitive patterns and representations of the female body in early christian literature. I do love my research, I'm just also super stressed and deeply self critical. Once I finish my methods chapter I think I'll chill out about it a bit. This is just the hardest part. But gosh I do love my research. I love digging through things, gathering notes, making charts. Tis my happy place.
