Thinking about that "analysis is literally fun" post and how it's very me, and another thing about me is that I love research, and collecting and compiling Information, and I very much bring this into fandom with me, and if there is one thing I hope people understand about me it's that none of that is a sense of obligation but rather a source of joy. I joke sometimes about getting bogged down in canon review and meta writing when I mean to be writing fic, but the reality is that I am having a blast. I am a happy frog in my cranberry bog. I have a free afternoon today and I'm about to go down a lore rabbit hole that is relevant to exactly one sentence in the one-shot I'm editing, and probably write something up on it, and I will be happy as a clam. Do I have to do this, no. Do I want to do this, yes. It's not just a part of my writing process, it's a core Fandom Activity for me, just as much as writing fic. It's a hobby. It's literally fun.
