Do you have a crush on players other than Pedri and Unai? I'd love to know your type.

This is going to be a long answer, and it's also going to refer to sexual preferences, so if you're uncomfortable reading that about me, you may just want to read this summary. Everything else will go under a read more.

TLDR: I don't have a set type. I don't have a crush on any player. I find most people/players attractive for many different reasons (physical or otherwise), and I find Unai (and some others) sexually attractive, but I am not romantically inclined to any footballer.

I'm defining crush as something that's erring on the side of romantic. So I am not romantically inclined towards any player. I don't envision myself with any of the players when I write them, and if there were some parallel universe, I probably wouldn't date Pedri or Unai. Or any footballer hahaha. So I can't say that I have a crush on Pedri or Unai. I'd like to meet them and maybe have a conversation, but I'm fine just watching them play.

I don't have a type physically. I wish I did. I do date across the gender and sexuality spectrums, if that helps.

Most of Barca's first teams fall into physically "cute" or "attractive" to me. I find Pedri, Balde, Aitana, Inigo, attractive. If we can put aside team rivalries for the time being, I'd say Nahikari García, David Raya, Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard, Inaki Williams, Fede Valverde, Dominik Szoboszlai, etc. People who are attractive to me for other reasons include Calafiori (I just like his golden retriever energy) Luka Modric (that's old man Modric), Morata (something about him being vulnerable and near tears in the Spain NT documentary), Messi (nostalgia), and a few others. Then there are people who just play the game so well that they become attractive simply through that (and that list probably includes everyone mentioned in this answer and about three dozen more people.)

In terms of a sexual attraction? Unai Simon, Marta, Alexia Putellas, Raphinha, Lewandowski. There's also this one goalkeeper that I'm trying to find but I can't remember what team he plays for. It's one of the red teams?? Basically: if any of the ones mentioned in this paragraph asked to sleep with me, I'd say yes.

But I don't think I have a strong inclination towards any player; some players are more fun to write about (like Gavi, Oihan Sancet) and some players just interest me enough to write about (Pedri, Unai Simon, Nico Williams, etc).

Though, if you really want to get down to a specifc answer, you can always ask me to fuck/marry/kill a set of players. 😂 Sorry I can't be more straightforward.

would you write a fedri fic?

Hmm, depends on the type of fic, really.

If we're talking about something short/quick, say less than 2,000 words, then the answer is maybe because I've done it before.

If we're talking about a story that is longer and multi-chaptered with a plot, say more than 10,000 words, I'm erring on the side of no for the time being, and that's for a few reasons (if you have the time to spare to read my thoughts):

At the moment, I don't feel very secure with how I am writing Ferran. This is because of gaps of knowledge that I have: I don't know much about Ferran besides his current season at Barca, and I don't have the capacity to do that research to fill that gap.

Another thing that I've noticed is that in my previous renditions of Ferran, I feel I've made him too serious, which is not how he behaves with Pedri. That sort of voice is fine for the shorter fics I've written because it passes, but I think to make it more believable, I would have to work on that. It's important to me that these characters have something distinct about their voices/mannerisms. (For example, in Longing for the Shore, Pedri is forward and Unai is reserved. And that's something I'll probably carry into other future stories. Another example is that when I write Gavi, I like for him to press, to be aggressive with his words too.) All of that to say is that right now, I don't know how I would make Ferran's voice distinct (and that might change when I get the chance to read about him more.)

Finally, for a longer story between Ferran and Pedri, I don't have a storyline in mind that I could explore with them specifically. This is not me asking for ideas or anything. I definitely need the idea to come from myself and to compel me enough to write something long. But any ideas I have right now are more fitting towards Unai/Pedri or someone/Gavi.

Anyways, sorry for such a long answer. I do hope this was okay/understandable. However, if you start writing Fedri, let me know! I'd happily read it! 🍃

Me too! And I love being in love. I'm lucky to be in love with people who are interesting and beautiful and genuinely amazing, so it's always fun for me. She is getting married soon so it's also quite special.

You should've told me football was going to consume me, now look what's happened. (I say this fondly and lovingly!)

What's really funny is that I watched international football all my life! The transition to club football just never came. Maybe because of the environment I was in or maybe because I didn't have the time. And prior to this, my only hobby was writing (and reading, with a sprinkle of television.) But I'm glad I'm here now.

But again. Someone should have stopped me. Six months in and I'm 150K words deep into yaoi football RPF and three people have gifted me three separate football kits. Insane. What a life.

I had this conversation with my cousin the other day, and she was telling me her preferences, like pedri,kenan yildiz and felix, but I kept telling her xavi alonso is my type, then de bruyne, messi, and sometimes isco(maybe I’m referring to knee celebration in his last match) shy laugh. I understand hehe, João Félix and everyone else she mentioned are very cute! But like you, I think I just like older people. Xavi Alonso is very attractive. And Inter Miami Messi with his longer hair is not just nostalgic for me anymore, that's a very hot man. 🤗 And I think Jesus Navas has the prettiest eyes?!

I'd also like to throw in Mikel Arteta and Ruben Amorim into consideration heh. I don't know much about them as coaches, but I've seen them throughout the Champions League/Europa Conference. So I suppose if I had a type, it would be someone significantly older. So you're not alone! 😂
