I have no jokes or clever posts. I am just nervous. I keep telling people "I'm not even Spanish," which just confuses them more.

I don't know why I'm invested. I certainly didn't have to be. My nation wasn't even represented this year. But i watch La Liga extensively. And I've watched some of these children-turned-footballers over the last two years work extremely hard. Refining their skills. Making mistakes and learning from them. I have no reason to be, but I am attached to them. Not in a parasocial way. I don't know them, I don't want to know them. But I want to see them win. I'm not even Spanish. But gosh, I would love to see them. The joy would be immense. Their joy would be immense.
