1. What was your inspiration to write this fic?

This fic was for a Valentines Day gift exchange on Twitter! I wanted to do a classic Twiyor trope, but the little flip I’d do is change the way their dates usually go. Yor would be the charming, easy going one and she’d plan the whole thing. And Twilight would be the one panicky and nervous and in love and freaking out about it. I tried to make it as funny as I could ( @unhappy-sometimes was my inspiration for the humor! They do comedy like no other and the characters feel like canon!) while also adding that sweetness and fluff with a satisfying conclusion to their date that we haven’t yet seen in canon.

3. What’s your favorite line of narration?

This is suggestive fyi, as is the norm for me. 🫡

He had to get a hold of himself. If Yor wanted to have sex, it was his duty as a spy and a husband and a red-blooded man to do the job for her. It was his new mission. Satisfy his wife sexually. Return home with cheeseburgers for his daughter. If he couldn’t complete this mission, the Forger’s were done for.

11. What do you like best about this fic?

Above all I’m so happy that the recipient liked it! Otherwise, I had a blast writing it and I love writing fics with that slice-of-life-gone-crazy-due-to-shenanains-vibe similar to the series. I also love the Twiyor in the story and how they express their gratitude and appreciation for each other. Of course!

15. What did you learn from writing this fic?

I learned a lot about my writing style and process! @beannoss and I do Writing Thursday and she also gives me great tips! I remember specifically for this one she taught me how to lean into the humor and helped a tremendous deal with dialogue and how it all flows! I learned I really start to lose steam and pitter out at the end of the story because I have a hard time finding a way to end it. I also can’t really focus until I can get my imagination just right for when the fic is playing through my head with my vision of the characters and the settings, so I spend way too much time on Pinterest looking at dresses, vintage suits, and the interior of a fancy car in the 60s and my bookmarked fanarts of hot and beautiful Twiyor.

Yuri Briar and his fascinating character development. Writing my last fic was like pulling teeth at first, I had a really hard time sexualizing Yuri.😅 But I loved exploring his repressed sexuality contrasted with his terrible moral beliefs. I came up with this whole other plot where he starts to doubt what the SSS does. And another where he realized he’s caught feelings for Chloe and freaks out. I liked making their vibes so different from Twiyor, but I surprisingly found a lot of similarities too! He’s so young and lost, like Bean said, HE SHOULD BE AT THE CLUB.

3 . What’s your favorite line of narration?

(This was hard cuz this fic is NSFW and I was trying for once, to find something of mine that wasn’t suggestive 😅)

Yor then watches as her sweet husband instantly changes before her eyes. Loid’s face turns into a cool and calculated expression, his warm blue eyes suddenly reflecting back at her the impersonal persona of the World’s Greatest Spy. Many months ago, perhaps it would have been a little disconcerting to her. Now, Yor just finds the transformation extremely sexy. <- from Chapter 4.

15. What did you learn from writing this fic?

This fic is my very first explicit one! And it’s still ongoing! So mostly I have learned that I am a very slow writer! 😅 Otherwise, it’s taught me to just write what I want. This fic was for me mostly, and it’s very self indulgent. I just wanted Twiyor to go at it. But I’ve gotten a ton of lovely compliments and people seem to really like it! So mostly, I’ve just learned to have fun with what I write and to not take things so seriously! 🩵 Eapecially with this upcoming chapter 🏍️

This next fic features manga spoilers for now! Anime only fans beware!

4. What’s your favorite line of dialogue?

Oh god. 🫣 Sorry guys. This fic is also explicit and the dialogue is super fun, but I can’t find a single line that isn’t inappropriate. LOL.

Finally Chloe's voice broke through the silence, a brittle, outraged whisper, "If I get you off first, will you take me to get some goddamn chicken nuggets?"

5. What was the hardest part to write?

All of it. 😆 But in the end, I had an absolute blast! This fic was for the Yurikuro event and I am a new and completely devoted member of that ship now. However, I see Yuri like you’d see your best friend’s annoying little brother who you haven’t seen in a few years and now suddenly they’re all grown up and hot. So it was a little challenging to write such dirty smut from his pov. Chloe is crazy hot though so that helped! And I tried to make it kind of coming of age and coming into one’s sexuality and desires. Their banter was also hard for me, but once I kinda relaxed and leaned into the absurdity and fun, it flowed pretty nicely.

1. What inspired you to write the fic this way?

This was another gift exchange fic! I wanted to make it like a romcom scene! So I started thinking of the ending and worked my way from there. I wanted it to feel really in character for Yor, and how she would approach Valentine’s Day. This turned out to be one of my favorite fics I’ve written so far! 💐

4. What’s your favorite line of dialogue?

Yor watched the couple with a smile as Camilla blushed and swatted at him, “What were you thinking?! What am I supposed to do with this?!”

Yaaay! A wildcard question!!! I’ll go with #13 for We were together in the rain.

13. What music did you listen to, if any, to get in the mood for writing this story? Or if you didn't listen to anything, what do you think readers should listen to accompany us while reading?

I’ll go with About You by The 1975. For that romcom feel.

people i’d like to get to know better

last song: Coheed and Cambria’s new single Someone Who Can. They’re my favorite band and I’ve seen them live probably 6 times. That’s a lot because I usually hate concerts. Too loud. lol

last book: If I Never Met You. A chicklit easy read about two lawyers who pretend to be in a relationship. It was cute.

last movie: The Wild Robot. I saw it in theatre’s with my nephews and sobbed so hard the oldest nudged me on the shoulder and said I was embarrassing him (he’s six) I watched it again at home alone because I needed a good cry.

last tv show: Komi Can’t Communicate. I love it. I’ve also been watching the streamer Dansgaming and his play through of the first Kingdom Come Deliverance. The second one will be out next month!

sweet/savory/spicy: sweet and savory definitely. I’m a baby and can’t handle spicy foods.

relationship status: I’ll have been married to my high school sweetheart for 10 years in March. He’s so cool.

last thing I Googled: peloton. There’s no way I’m getting one but I’ve convinced myself I’d actually exercise if I had one.

looking forward to: we’re going to Seattle in April to celebrate our anniversary! It’s where we went on our honeymoon. Then we’re going to Port Aransas, Colorado (we lived there for a few years), the Grand Canyon, maybe Florida (husband business trip), and hopefully Japan eventually! It’s the most traveling I’ve ever done and I’m soooo excited!

current obsession: Spy x Family consumes me as always. Also my new sneakers.

BRIELLE BRIE FUENTES. | BIOGRAPHY.

Born to a Nigerian-American drug dealer, George Phillips, and a Mexican line cook, Maria Fuentes, Brie had a tumultuous upbringing. Her father was in and out of jail constantly while her mother struggled to keep food on the table and a roof over their heads. Because of this, from a young age, Brie had to learn to fend for herself. She was once a very sensitive little girl; but, having to deal with the kind of circumstances she was born into taught her how to mask her emotions. As she got older, a bit of resentment towards her parents formed within her. She understood that every parent struggled; but, at the same time, she felt like they knew better than to bring a child into their world. Thus, as soon as she turned sixteen, she dropped out of high school and moved into her older boyfriend’s apartment.

Brie met said boyfriend when she was a JV cheerleader and he was the varsity quarterback. The typical high school romance. Since then, they’d been inseparable. He was two years older than her and he felt like a savior to her. Until, he didn’t. After about three months of living together, suddenly, she and Jeremy began to argue. A lot. Sometimes over little things, other times over bigger things. Sadly, it didn’t take long for the verbal abuse to escalate to physicality. This was the darkest time in Brie’s life. She’d never felt lower than when this man who was supposed to love her put his hands on her. Luckily, she was able to draft an effective escape plan and was out of the apartment by the end of the year. After escaping, she joined a self-defense class, vowing to herself that no other man would abuse her again.

From that moment on, Brie also vowed to be completely independent. She would not rely on another person to take care of her. So, she worked her ass off to be able to afford her own one bedroom apartment in downtown Miami. There, she met one Javier Rodriguez who lived in the penthouse suite. Later, she’d find out that he knew of her through her father. Their relationship was complicated. When Brie turned eighteen, she started working as a stripper, while still waitressing at a local diner. But, Javier was supplementing her income with his drug money. She knew it was dangerous and sleazy to be accepting money in exchange for sexual relations with a man twice her age; but, to be honest, she kind of liked it. Daddy issues, y’know? That relationship ended when Javier got locked up for thirty years. Brie was much too young to wait that long. So, she picked up and moved to Chicago to start a brand new life. The rest is history.
